HOW to Answer Job Interview Questions
Recommended Answer:
It is not illegal to ask. I would recommend being honest. It is an easy enough fact to verify by an employer as they have your home address and can easily look up the public record to determine who owns the property. So, I would just tell the truth. You could always give a further explanation that says something like "I own my home but have the flexibility to sell for the right opportunity".
What Colors To Wear To A Job Interview
- No it is not illegal, it is a question they can ask. It is not better to say that you are renting as most companies that want to move you would help you sell your home and buy a new one in the new location.
Generally if someone rents rather than owns it may show issues in their personal life such as bad credit or fiscal mismanagement (an unfair stereotype perhaps, but true non-the-less) whereas if you own it shows a level of responsibility that employers are looking for. - Why would that be illegal??? What CRIME did they commit? Owning a home shows someone who is grounded. A renter shows someone with mobility. Neither is worse than that other. It just COMPLETELY depends on what the company is looking for. If they are seeking someone who is open to relocating, then the "renter" is the better candidate. If they are looking for someone who they want to fill a position for the next 10 years or so, then the home owner is better.
Asking is a person owns a home or not is NOT the same as asking about their religion, or ANY other protected classification. HUGE difference in fact. - Make a free blog at blogger about something you are good at or truly interested in, and than put adsense on it, bring people to your blog, each time your ads get clicked you'll earn money. I can assure that you will love working on it. If you want more info let me know.
