Job Interview Questions: Typical job interview questions?

What are some questions that an interviewer asked you in a job interview. They can be random questions like if you were any type of plant, what type would you want to be? They can also be any typical question like an ice breaker question. It would help to know your answers too but it's not as important as the question itself.
Thanks

Questions For Job Interview Situations - Overcoming the Fear

Here are some typical ones that were asked me:

What are your strengths and weaknesses? [Answers are subjective and various.]
How would you contribute to the betterment of the company? [Answers vary and depend on what kind of company you apply to.]
How would you define/describe a "bad boss"? [Don't focus on the bad. Mention some things but try to redirect it positively.]

Some companies will ask completely different and sometimes obscure/crazy questions! For instance, Zappos may ask you to describe your own personal "weirdness." (Went over that in our business class.)

Job Interviewing Tips

  • what special skills can you bring to the position

  • They usually ask "Why would you like to work here" or
Why do you think you would be a good fit for us? That's when you learn about their company so you can say something meaningful that will impress them, the fact that you took the time to do some research on their company.
