Job Interview Questions: Any suggestions on what I should wear to my job interview tomorrow?

I have a job interview scheduled tomorrow morning at my local Kohl's department store. It's been extremely hot lately here in Los Angeles, today was over 100 degrees and I don't want to show up at a job interview feeling too casual, but I also dont want to overdress and feel stuffy because of the heat. What do you recommend I do?

Some Questions Astute Interviewers May Ask During the Job Interview Process

Recommended Answer:
i would say either a pencil skirt with a light summery shirt, not to dressy. If you think that the pencil skirt will be to tight and make you hot, then i would go with white capri shorts, with a blue, pink or yellow short-sleeved summer top. Wear you hair up in a bun, kind of sloppy and to the side, with a cute head band to match the shirt. You can wear brown sandals, or high heels, try to avoid flip-flops. Way to casual.

Job Interview Questions: In a job interview, is it okay to ask when the decision will be made?

I have a job interview coming up. I know most interviews will ask at the end if you have any questions. I need to know when they will announce whether or not they'll hire me. Is it okay to ask or would that damage my chances at getting the job?

Will What You Wear for a Job Interview Help You Pass the 2 Minute Test?

    Recommended Answer:
I would ask them. However, I would leave it toward the end of the interview. Like what you said, at the point when they ask if you have any questions. This is a normal question and I am sure that many hiring managers are asked it. After all, it is only natural to want an ideal time frame.

I would make it one of the last questions you ask. Like when you stand up to end the interview. As if they have a time frame for when you may expect a call if you were to get the job. Then, close out the interview with the traditional handshake and thank you.

Good luck in all your future job interviews.

    Job Interview Preparation

    • Absolutely. Ask them! Don't ask "when will you announce that you will hire me or not". Ask them when a decision will be made or ask when will I hear back from you. Ask other questions first. Ask about daily responsbilities, etc. Go get a book or search online for questions to ask. Make sure you have more than you need because often, they will answer all your questions before you asked them.

    • If you have a good reason, just explain what it is and ask politely.

    • I think it would be a good question, because It will show your strength as an employee.

Job Interview Questions: For a job interview, what if your responses are school related?

If I go to a job interview, and for most of the questions they ask me, I use examples from the classes I took at school, is that bad? Should I instead focus my answers on things I did in my internships? The problem is that for many interview questions, my internship experience doesn't apply to it, but my experience in school lab classes or lecture classes does.

    Thanks.

The Comic Tragedy of Job Interviews

    Recommended Answer:
You should mix it up among all your experiences. If this is your first job, there will be a natural bias towards answers about your school experiences. But you should have an arsenal of answers ready about what you saw when you were intern, what would you change at the place you interned in etc?

Interviewers are looking for some with ideas and many interview questions and answers are geared towards finding the next leader who will implement change.

    Have a look at www.theinterviewmaster.com

They have a whole chapter dedicated to school questions.

Best of luck with it - it will all be fine - just make sure that you are well prepared for the interview!

Job Interview Preparation - Three Key Steps

    • It's okay for some responses, but you should try and pull from your professional experiences as well. Think through the questions you're likely to be asked and practice so you can get a better mix.

    • Then they are school related. You have to start somewhere.

Job Interview Questions: On a job interview for a higher end professional job, would a misdemeanor that I got when I was 15 appear?

If I were to get a job interview for a higher end, professional job, would a minor misdemeanor that I got when I was under 18 appear on my background check, and would I have to say that I had a past criminal offense if they ask?

    Thanks.

Job Interview Preparation: The Key To Getting The Job Offer!

        • It's always better to OVER dress than to UNDER dress. You don't have to go all out with a suit, or even a tie (though it might be nice). But you should wear a nice pair of pants, nice shoes (not sneakers), and a buttoned shirt. Look clean and organized. Also, make sure you are properly groomed

        • I'd go naked, that way if the manager is hot (which they usually are if they are a female manager at chickfila) then she'll be impressed and hire you that exact moment! And maybe get a special bonus!...like a higher pay you pervs!

        • Dress neat and clean with nice white shirt and short hair no beards or tattoo's showing. Make sure you have your health card.First impression is what counts..

        • T shirt with no jokes, sayings, or anything on it and nice jeans. Kind of a prep look i guess.

        • Tuxedo, and nothing less will get you this job

Job Interview Questions: Should I always wear a suit to a job interview?

Most of the jobs I apply for consist of a dirty work environment. Sometimes I will even be introduced to my work environment for a tour when I interview. Oftentimes I decided not to wear a suit since I may get a little dirty. Should I wear a suit to all job interviews even if my work area is dirty?

Answering Interview Questions - How to Make the Right Impression in Your Job Interview

        Recommended Answer:
You are supposed to dress for an interview according to the site and type of job you will be performing. If the job would require a suit, then yes wear the suit. If not, then you need to dress more business casual. Definitely press your pants and shirt, wear a belt that matches your shoes, and socks that match your pants. If it is a rugged outdoor environment, wearing decent boots or work shoes and blue jeans would be okay. The jeans should be a good pair and should still have been pressed. I was once told, dress as if you could be going to do that job, just be very clean and neat about it.

You can overdress for an interview. I was once interviewed by a team of people and I was the only one suited up, the rest were in cowboy boots and blue jeans!! It would have been nice if I would have know what they typically wore at work, I did not get the job!!

Job Interview Questions: What to wear for first job interview?

          Recommended Answer:
You should always dress professional. Even if you were going to interview at Mc Donald's. Carry yourself with professionalism, integrity. It all depends upon how bad you want this job. You will sell yourself if this is really what you want. Remember the first impression, should be a lasting impression.

A Guide to the Most Evil Job Interview Questions

          • Take some time to watch a manager at the Sports Authority, see what he wears into the office. If he is dressed with a tie and shirt but not a jacket, then it is slightly less businesslike in dress. If he even caries a suit jacket in with him for work, ensure you wear one also.
Otherwise, if all are in sporty clothing, why not up it by wearing a blazer jacket (sport Jacket?), semi dressy but not as much as a full suit...
The rule always is dress up, rather than dress down. But it is VERY hard in situations where the average employee is in casual wear. Look towards the managers, then make a decision. I agree with the other person above, first impressions are important!

          • Many people get stuck when they are trying to settle what to wear at an interview. Myself I'm from the old school, I contend that formal wear is never inappropriate; you can get some tips from the website in the box below, they also have a lot of stuff on job searching.

          • Dress professional regardless if its a Sports Authority.First impressions are unforgettable.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear to a job interview?

I'm a 19 year old college student home for the summer. I have a job interview this week with a law firm, but since this is my first job, I don't know what to wear. I want something youthful but still tasteful, and I don't want to dress too warmly... It's summer in Florida. It's hot. Any advice would be appreciated! Tips For Job Interviews - Common Job Interview Questions and Answers

          Recommended Answer:
If you are interviewing with a law firm, your best bet is a conservative suit. Law is an extremely conservative field and until you get a feel for the office you need to play it safe. Make sure your shoes are in good condition and on the low-heeled side and your jewelry also needs to be conservative. If you wear a skirt suit you need to wear hose underneath.

If you don't have a suit a nice blouse and dress pants or a pencil skirt would be an okay backup. Avoid cleavage, bare shoulders, and too much leg until you learn more about the office.

A lot of law offices are not this conservative - but many are. Until you know for sure, play it safe.

            Common Job Interview Mistakes

            Recommended Answer:
No jeans. I would suggest something appropriate for a business/office type environment so slacks or skirt (not short/above the knee) and blouse/sweater. Tasteful jewelry and heels (it's fine if they are open toed or boots but not TOO high). If you submitted your resume originally, bring it with you just in case the person interviewing doesn't have a copy but also it's nice to have a copy of it in front of you to help remember details about your previous experience.

Job Interview Skills: What Does The Employer Want To Hear?

            • Dress neatly and conservatively. You want to project the best possible image of yourself, so plan and prepare a neat, businesslike outfit. You can't go wrong with a business suit. Even if the company has explicitly stated that it's a “business casual” workplace, stick with the suit. An interview is not the time to express your unique fashion sense; it's the time to show you know when it's time to follow the rules and traditions of business.

              Good luck :-)

            • wear either dress pants or a dress skirt (to or below the knee). wear a nice blouse. wear heels. one inch boots are fine, as long as they're classy. do NOT wear jeans to an interview. and please, no cleavage. and if you wear make up, don't wear like purple eye shadow. keep it classy.

            • I know I took my license and social secuity card to my interview. It was my first job so I didn't have a resumer. Idk if this will help bc I'm a guy but I wore fress shoes, dress pants and a polo from American Eagle

            • Just a formal dress.

Jeans are for casual wear or work wear but not for a fast food establishment. You should go looking clean and smart. Make sure you have clean hands and especially the nails. Wear a single coloured shirt and no patterns. Wear shoes not trainers. In the interview be yourself, tell no lies or embellish the truth. Smile (not grin) when talking and look at the interviewer at all times. Sit without leg crossing and keep your hands still. Have any papers that you might need to give over or refer to in a thin folder and you will look as if you are business like. Finally, be enthusiastic about this job and about past jobs. Be sure to let the interviewer know that you will work hard to gain promotion.

I have always been taught to wear dress pants and a nice shirt but sometimes I feel overdressed. How do you dress for certain interviews?!?!

            Master Job Interview Skills

            Recommended Answer:
For interviews, there isn't really any such thing as being overdressed. The interviewer will only notice if you're UNDERdressed. The dressiest attire would be for the retail job. You ought to wear a black or gray pantsuit or skirt suit. If you don't own that and don't want to invest in a suit (which really would be a good investment for the future), you should wear a conservative dress and possibly layer a blazer over it if the top seems too bare. This is not an occasion for showing much skin. For the restaurant, I'd step it down a bit. Wear some nice, dark dress pants with a nice blouse and possibly a light- colored blazer. Finally, for the camp job, simply wearing dress pants with any nice shirt should suffice.

Mistakes to Avoid When Answering Tricky Job Interview Questions

            • retail/restaurant: black pants with a nice non-flattering shirt, but not too boring, maybe a nice necklace or some pearl earrings.

a camp could be like long shorts or jeans with a collared shirt, and a nice brown belt to go with it. something that could show off how sportsy you are.

            • I would wear like a suit like the ones for women or I would wear like kind of suuit pants with a women ruffle shirt (idk what they're called!) Here's a picture of some clothes

            • It doesn't matter where I apply to, I always wear business casual because that's what is appropriate for a job interview. That means black dress pants with a nice blouse and dress shoes. I wore that even for a fast food place. It's just what's appropriate because regardless of its status or pay, it's still a business. You should still present yourself in a professional manner.

Try not to feel horrible - think of it as a learning experience and move on to the next one. The length can vary depending on the job and what qualifications they are looking for. You need help to overcome your shyness. Is there a close friend or family member that you could do some practice interviews with? I used to be very shy also and overcame it just by getting out in the world and working my first job as a waitress. I remember being terrified at first! One trick that may help you in an interview is to "pretend" that you are confident, it's all an acting job. Before you know it you will start feeling that way. Another thing that helps is to know that many times the interviewers are nervous also! Conducting interview also takes skill and practice. They have all been on the other side of the desk a few times, so many are understanding about you being nervous. "Using numbers to show things like how much revenue you brought in, the costs you avoided, or the percent increase in efficiency you were responsible for, tell a hiring manager a lot more about your capabilities than words can," says J.T. Job Interview Questions: How should I dress for a job interview at Macy's?

I have a job interview there this Tuesday, and I need to know what to wear for their job interview. Should I wear a dress suit and stuff since that's what most of the guy employees wear there during their work hours?

Expert Job Interview Advice From Someone Doing the Hiring

              Recommended Answer:
Times are tough right now, I'd wear a suit. But dress conservative, no jewelry, hair cut, pay attention to your shoes... many interviewers look at the shoes to see if you are the type to pay attention to detail.

But depends on the position you are applying for. Management? Definitely a suit. Salesperson? Suit minus the jacket. Best to err on the dressier side, but don't wear an armani suit or anything, or the people will think you don' tneed a job.

              Hope I helped..

What to Do Before, During and After a Job Interview

              • Many peeps get stuck when they are aiming to settle what to wear at an interview. Personally I'm from the old school, I believe that formal wear is never inappropriate; you can get some tips from the site in the box below, they also have loads of advice on job seeking.

              • Business casual is sufficient. I used to work there last year seasonally and I wore a business casual outfit. No need to overdress. Simply wear formal pants and a nice dress shirt with black polished shoes. That is plenty right there. It is more important in the way you present yourself and how you talk. That will say you a professional.

              • Shirt and tie for EVERY interview. No exceptions.

              • dress fashionably. like, nice dress pants, and a dress shirt in a color that stands out but isnt too bold.

Just remember to be as calm as possible. They're probably just gunna ask you some general questions about when you can work, if you got to school, what actives you do, and probably something about your goals like where do you see yourself in 10 yrs. I think what your wearing should be good. I used to have this notion that every interview means you got the job, i found that to be false very quickly. Not to be negative or anything but an interview really doesnt mean much so try to take some nerves away. Just be calm and do your best.

Hi there, I worked in McDonalds for a while.

Wear smart clothes - Black trousers and a shirt (If your a guy).

Aim to arrive around 10 minutes early. On entering approach the counter and say "Hi I'm (name) and I've got an interview at (time)." They will probably then ask you to ake a seat while you wait for the interviewer.

The interview will most likely be held in the actual restaurant seating area, however, it will probably be quiet either way don't let potential customers put you off.

They will ask you questions on team work, working under pressure, working with customers etc. Just be yourself and answer honestly, they will be looking for answers such as:

"I enjoy working within a team"
"I enjoy working in a fast paced environment"
"I aim to provide excellent customer service etc"

Questions to ask: What training is provided? What are the progression prospects? What is the average day here at work like?

                  Good Luck!

Also remember to stay calm, smile, be interested at all time and show enthusiasm for the job.

                    Assorted Job Interview Techniques

                    Recommended Answer:
Group interviews are often used when several positions are being filled simultaneously. They differ from individual interviews in that the candidates might be asked to take part in group activities. Employers use such activities to assess how the candidates perform in a team environment and how well they interact with other group members.

                    1. Obtain a written job description from the company. Learn as much as possible about the job duties and responsibilities, so you will be better able to anticipate possible interview scenarios.

                    2. Research the company in advance. Review the company's website or go to the library and read all available newspaper clippings regarding the company.

                    3. Practice talking about yourself in front of a group of friends or family members. There is a good chance you will be asked to stand up in front of the group and introduce yourself and discuss your background.

                    4. Role play with a friend or family member. You may be asked to take part in a situation where you need to deal with an unhappy "customer," for example, so practice will not only sharpen your problem-solving skills, but will also help you stay calm if the role-playing situation arises.

                    5. Anticipate seizing a leadership role. Group interviews often require the candidates to work in teams to solve a problem, so by assuming a leadership role you can demonstrate to the employer that you possess those capabilities, which will help you stand out from your competition.

I guess by now you have had the interview, but I will give you some tips, in case you did not get the job.

                    Wear smart casual, no jeans.

                    Just be yourself,

                    Smile.

Listen carefully to the questions you are being asked.

Never interrupt when the interviewer is talking.

Once a question has been asked, just take a couple of seconds before you answer, so you can think about what you are going to say.

Slow down your speech, most people who are nervous just gabble away, and the interviewer will not be able to understand, or take in what you are saying.

                    Keep smiling, that is important.

An interview is not just about you being asked questions it's also an opportunity to get any questions you might have answered as well.

It's important that you think about what you are going to ask ahead of the interview which will help you to decide if it is the right job for you.

I have seen a lot of people who have not asked questions where the answer would have meant they wouldn't have taken the job!

So give some thought to what you really need to know to help you decide if they company is the right one for you

                        Hope that helps?

I had a job interview today but I have a good and bad feeling about it. I feel it didn't go well because I was nervous and there 2 other people in the room and that threw me off. I thought typically it's only the employer who interviews not a second person. I have no idea who the other person was.

Some Questions Astute Interviewers May Ask During the Job Interview Process

                        Recommended Answer:
There's not a lot you can do after the fact. You might have made a better impression than you thought. Most people are a little nervous at employment interviews, and it doesn't affect their work performance that much.

But consider that every employment interview you do helps you, it gives you one more experience, so you won't be so nervous next time. I used to work temporary, so I've been through more employment interviews than anyone I know, and I actually look forward to them.

You have to go into an interview with confidence. You have to believe that you are just the person they need, almost that you are doing them a favor by coming to the interview. (Of course you don't act like this, but you're thinking it all the time). You smile, make eye contact when someone's talking to you, and every question they ask, you act like you're glad they asked that question.

And you have to expect the unexpected. LOTS of interviews have a 'committee', or at least someone from various departments who just 'sit in' and listen to the interview. You want to show them you're not afraid of being interviewed, that you're ready for anything they can throw at you. Many jobs, maybe -most- jobs, you will run into situations you aren't prepared for and you'll have to 'think on your feet'. If you respond well to the unexpected in the interview, it makes a really good impression.

                        World's Best Job Interview Tips

                        • It's Party Packers not a law firm.

                          Wear whatever you want.

                        • A job interview is when you should try to blend in with that world. When you are a teenager you shouldn't look like you are heading out to a rock concert. Avoid ripped shirts, T-shirts, shirts with writing/logos, bare midriffs, jeans, short skirts and wild hair. Teenage girls should wear dress pants or a dress skirt and a nice blouse. if it is a skirt suit be sure that the length of the skirt is appropriate. Knee-length is best for a job interview.

Girls can pick a sweater, cardigan or blouse with a conservative neckline. Make sure your choices fit properly.
Lean toward neutral and darker colors. If your interview happens to be right after school, pack a backup outfit just in case the first one gets dirty. You can play with colors a bit, but try to stick to soft pinks, purples or greens.

Step into your interview with a clean pair of shoes. You can go with a low heel if they prefer, but simple non-slip loafers or Oxfords will suffice. Remove any debris from the soles and buff away any scuffs that may be on the tops, sides or back.

Remove any facial piercings. Girls should limit themselves to one earring in each ear.
Accessories and make-up should be kept simple for a job interview. Make-up should not include intense colors such as blue eyeliner or bright red lipstick. Nails should be properly manicured, not too long or painted in loud colors. A French manicure or plain clear coat draws the least attention. Jewelry worn on a job interview should also be kept plain. Pearls are ideal, as are small pendants or stud earrings. Trendy dangling earrings or large bracelets that jingle or cause distraction should always be avoided for a job interview.

Girls should always keep their legs and feet covered for a job interview. Stockings are an absolute must as bare legs are considered extremely unprofessional, even if they are lean and tan. If heels are worn with pants, knee high stockings should be worn to cover the exposed part of the feet. Open toed shoes, sandals or extremely high heels or platforms are not a good idea for a job interview and are also considered to be unprofessional.

                          Remember!
                          • Professionalism should be the number one goal for a girls on a job interview, which is a different goal than normal day-to-day dressing that often has the goal of looking attractive.
                          • You cannot expect to be respected or treated equal to the man sitting next to you in a business suit and tie(even if your resume is better than his)if you show up to the job interview in a short skirt, five inch high sandals and a low cut shirt.
                          • Avoid sending the wrong message by dressing inappropriately.
                          • Show the potential employer you mean business by caring about your appearance.
                          • Unfortunately due to the inequality that exists in the workplace girls often need to take extra measures to be respected and viewed as professional.
                          Gooooooooooood Luck :)

They dont expect people applying for part-time positions to have much retail experience. Many young people are hired without any experience at all, so there's not going to be much on a resume. Just be prepared to answer the question why you want to work there - that's something that would normally appear in a cover letter -- just no need to bring that with you. Any of your job history was provided on the application when you filled it out online, so no need to replicate that data on a resume.

                          • You might bring the resume (I've been asked for a copy of my resume during an interview before) if you have any job experience, but the cover letter isn't necessary at this point. The cover letter is supposed to help you get them to read your resume and, thus, get an interview...but you obviously already have one at this point.

                          • You generally give your cover letter and resume whenever you apply, with your application. If they did not specifically ask you to bring one then there is no need to do so for the interview.

Job Interviewing Tips - Success Through a Thank-You-Letter

                          • Being fifteen, you want to give your interviewers the impression that, while young, you are still professional and a hard worker. Employers worry that younger people aren't as willing to work hard, as stupid as that is! That being said, you should dress conservatively and in something that fits well-- not too tight (especially if you're larger) or too baggy. I would personally advise dress pants, and do make sure they're hemmed above the floor. Avoid khakis if you can, since those give off a more casual tone. Close-toed heels are good, but if you're a more comfortable person, some nice flats do the trick as well! You probably know what kind of top to wear-- something clean, nice, flattering. Jewelery is a nice touch, and so is a little bit of makeup. Mainly you just want to look clean and freshly-pressed.

More important than the clothes is the way you carry yourself, however, so remember that! Do fidget in your clothes and keep your posture straight. If you feel confident, you'll confident, and that's what they want. (; Good luck!

I do also advise searching some websites for some tips on dressing, just so you feel confident about your choices!

                          • actually it depends on the company

if the company is a large company such as law firms, or even small companies but is business related go with a business attire which is comfortable, if you want to wear a skirt, the skirt shouldn't be very sexy

if the company is like a mini restaurant or other small firms just go smart casual

                          • Always, with any job interview, one should wear business attire.

That is what you should wear to any interview, even if its for a retail spot. The only thing thing make sure none of the labels from another store are visible.

Make sure that the suit is fitted. The main stile of Banana and its subsidiaries is that the clothes fit the person perfectly.

(girl) Black shoes, grey dress pants with a flair at the bottom, white blouse, back suit Jacket. Try putting your hair in a clean, not messy, pony tail. If you are going to have your hair down, keep it neat. You can change your look, when you are employed there, based on what your fellow coworkers are wearing.
(guy) Black & shiney shoes plain black suit, with either a black shirt that doesn't require a tie, so that you look a little on the chique side, or a white shirt. If you are going to wear a tie, make sure your **** napkin matches.

The main attire of Banana Republic is all black. If you are not going to wear all black, then you must wear the dressy clothes from their line. Banana employees must wear plain clothes with no names on them, prefereably Banana's on clothes.

Job Interview Skills: How to Manage a Bad Interview!

                            • I know this is worked to death, and cliched, but be yourself. That's what's important. Employers want to know what kind of person they're hiring. But, one thing you do have to do, be professional, and courteous. If you're not professional, the employer is going to think you're not serious, and in this economy, there's fifteen other people lined up right behind you. And, if you're not courteous, they're going to think the same thing: you're not here for a job, you're here to be friends. Employers have enough friends, and we'll just go in assuming they don't need, or want, anymore.
Also, exude quiet confidence. If you go in there thinking you're not going to get the job, you're not going to get it.

                            • Be your self and be confident . Also prepare well on the subject matter .

                            Recommended Answer:
You would like to make a point on being customer service friendly and how you manage efficiency while handling orders. You also said that you worked for them before so they will ask why you had left. Make sure that you left on good terms (I.E. went back to school full time.)

Always remember, when they ask you a question, be relaxed, no short or long answers. Be on key and to the point.

                            Good luck in your interview.

Regarding questions - be curious about how the company runs, so for example ask:-
                            (1) How many deliveries per week do they get?
                            (2) Is all the stock delivered from a central warehouse? Where is that? Or from different suppliers?
                            (3) How often do they have a stocktake?
                            (4) What are the bestsellers?
One question usually leads to another, if they ask why you're asking - you're just interested.

This has been happening for a while now. The last interview went horrible! I felt myself blushing and couldn't think clearly. Of course, I didn't get the job. Its been a year and have been avoiding interviews. I am usually very confident but for some strange reason, I blush at situations where all the attention is on me. Think it has to do with a lot of insecurity issues. Any advise or tips. Thanks in advance! =)

Don't be afraid to pause before and during giving answers to questions to give yourself time to think and to breath, you don't have to rush an answer. This should help to keep you calm, it did for me :)

And try not to feel insecure, I know it can feel like they're judging you but they just want to see if you'd 'fit' into their workplace. They're not criticising you.

It doesn't matter if you blush, all candidates are nervous this is to be expected. It's not the way you look, it's down to what you say. Try and think confidently and portray confidence to them.

The interviewer will have a range of sample job interview questions to ask you, some will be in relation to the job but others will be more on you. Interview questions are intended to find out more about you as an individual and a professional within your field; what makes you tick and what kind of person you are generally. Most importantly, do bear in mind that interviewers actually want you to succeed and there are no trick questions intended to unsettle you.

If you were an employer you will naturally want to know things about the candidate that will benefit your company. Is the candidate motivational, a leader, strong willed, competitive, assertive, a forward thinker or a lateral thinker; and so on.As previously mentioned, many employers will draw information from psychometric tests and some of their questions will come from your report, that is if they conducted a test with you. See the section on having your own psychometric test prior to an interview. This section highlights the importance of knowing your own profile report before interviews for better performance and enhanced CVs (resumes).During job interviews, you should be prepared to answer any type of question from the interviewer and also expect the unexpected question. As always, one of the most important elements of a successful job interview is to answer questions positively in a calm and relaxed manner. Try to turn any question to your advantage by aligning it positively to your strengths and aims.

Although the interviewer is keen to hear positive answers from you, your body language will either affirm or contradict your answers, so be sure to read the importance of good body language during a job interview.

Job Interview Questions: Obviously pregnant with job interview tomorrow, should I bring it up?

I am in education and I have a job interview tomorrow. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant, so its obvious. However, if I get this job I wont be taking maternity leave bc we are in education and the baby is being born at the beginning of the summer break. However, should I mention that fact and the fact that I do want to work and get this job, even though I will have a newborn. I am thinking honesty is the best policy, what do you think?

                              • Yes be honest! Since everyone has summer break off in education that would give you guys time to take care of the baby, then you can find a baby sitter for your child. I would explain it to them and show that you will not be missing work just because you have a baby along the way. That everything is already sorted out and that everything is under control and everything else that they would want to hear!

GL on getting the job, and congrats on your new baby!

Like the second answer, really only bring it up if they bring it up!

                              • I say to try and bring up the fact that you want to start work ASAP and that will tell them 1) you will be having the baby(Congrats!!!) over the summer and 2) that you will be ready for the school year in August!
Good luck and I hope you get it:)

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to a job interview?

I've never been to a job interview, I know the whole idea is to make a good first impression but I have no idea what I should be wearing.
I'm 18 and it's a part-time job at small cafe in town, so obviously I shouldn't dress up.
What would you recommend I wear? Colours/style?
                              Thank you.

Win That Second Job Interview, Like You Did With the First Job Interview

                              • Ha ha Natasha ha ha.......
You said "........, so obviously I shouldn't dress up."

                                Now that is funnyyyyy.Okay seriously:

Since it's a part time cafe, go in any casual dress without being too flashy or gaudy. Let your simplicity show...

                                Then wear your best smile.

Possibly they'll give you a uniform to wear later....so your dress for the interview won't really matter.

                              • Don't look hot ! Go for elegant and smart, wear black, white and grey. Soft make up, if you want to go for a shirt, make sure it's not too short, but don't worry about which type of clothes you should wear, as long as it looks nice. Best outfit is black trousers and whit top, good luck !

                              • Business casual is probably fine. Usually black or dark pants and a nice shirt will do - don't go sleeveless - if it's warm, find a nice short sleeve shirt. I would recommend a solid colors - no wild patterns.

                              • wear casual , but not too much , and use medum colors (i mean don't wear pink) , and look elegant, and if the person who you will talk with is a man , you should look a bit hot ;)

                              • Go naked
