Job Interview Questions: Is it ok to mail or drop off a thank you letter after a job interview?

I just had a job interview this afternoon at Party City in Eagan,MN and it's seasonal until November. Do I have to type up a thank you letter for a retail position even though it's seasonal? Please let me know.
