Also, how do you schedule a job interview? Any advice?

5 Tips For a Successful Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Ummmm, the potential employer schedules an interview, not you.
If you have no previous experience (and I bet thats true from your question) a resume will do no good as that's what a resume is for...work history.

How to Prepare for a Successful Job Interview

  • You do not need a resume for each. Fill out the application, and they will call you if they are interested.

  • Resumes are not necessary for an entry level position that requires no experience. Usually the employer will know all they need to about you from the application itself. Now, if you have a degree and some experience working it is a great idea to have a resume even though your work experience may not be much it may show the employer you do have some experience...

If you were to do a resume what you should put is the truth.. usually resumes include you college schooling and achievements, your work history (usually divided into relevant (in this case would be retail) and other depending on the job you want)..

they would also include you objective.. for example "to acquire a position in retail sales"

and above all this info you would need to have your name, current place of residences, permanent place of resident and your phone number and email would be a good idea..

Dont worry about creating a resume go find a nice professional template and fill in your info, its that easy..

but again you do not need a resume unless you have something to show such as a degree or previous work experience..

And to address the interview.. only employers (typically the HR department) will call or email to set up an interview... which will either be a phone interview, a panel interview or just one on one with your soon to be boss..

    GOOD LUCK..

  • Here is all you need to do. Go into the place and ask to speak to the manager. Tell the manager who you are and that you are looking for a job. Ask if they are currently hiring and express that you would like to fill out an application. They will take it from there. Make sure you ask them when they will be interviewing for the position if they don't offer you an interview on the spot and make sure you follow up a few days after you put in an application.
