Learn How To Win The Job Interview Test!

  • I'd say to dress professional. If you're gonna wear a suit, stick with the business colors, blue or black. Can't remember where I learned that from. Just stay calm, yes even though its a job interview, its still just an interview. Being nervous doesn't help...just remember, the person you're talking to was in the same position you are in right now at some point in their life. In other words, they're human like you. Hope all goes well :)

  • Smile, always look at the interviewer, and don't be nervous! good luck

English for Your Job Interview - How to Succeed

    Recommended Answer:
Don't wear jeans, that is one of the biggest rules for any interview (they are too casual). Dress pants or a skirt (A decent skirt, nothing to short) You don't have to be super fancy but show that you put a little thought and effort into it. I went to an interview recently and wore a black, button up, short sleeve blouse with a lacy blue tank top underneath and black knee length skirt. (and i got the job :) now just a tip here is that you don't want to wear too much black. i have blonde hair so i was fine wearing what i did but if you have black hair or dark brown i wouldn't do black for pants and shirt.

For the hair you just want it to look nice, nothing to crazy. if you are one of those people who like to make your hair twice the size of your head maybe tone it down a little :P I just straightened mine and left it down.

And last of all for makeup follow the same rules as the hair, nice but not overkill. it isn't the time to pull out the bright colors and thick eyeliner. neutral eye shadows (like browns) or light pastels are good for times like this and a little lip gloss can add the perfect touch.

Questions to Ask During a Job Interview - Make Sure You Cover These!

    Recommended Answer:
I'll tell you the three things I've heard from interviewers that really help with phone interviews:

    1. NO distractions. Make sure you're somewhere away from barking dogs, loud TVs, kids crying, etc.

    2. Smile. Even though they can't see you, the smile really comes through in your voice and makes you sound cheerful and enthusiastic.

    3. Practice. Get a friend to run through some questions with you on the phone (or try the video interview below). They'll tell you if you sound natural and professional. Prepare answers to common questions, like "Why do you want to work here?"

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

    • There are several things to consider on having a job interview on the phone, first is to know about yourself of what you have written in the application form/resume or curriculum vitae, as most of the questions will start from the information you have provided.

Third is physical awareness, make sure you talk in the room where there will be no noise interruptions or any source of disruption, telephone line is ok, or mobile phone battery is fully charge, and your ears are ok.
