Thank You For The Job Interview - Are You Sending a Follow Up Letter?

  • First of all, my suggestion is to make sure you look presentable for your interview. Make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing (dress skirt or suit depending on gender) and be very polite. Show that you care enough about your appearance. Another suggestion is to take out any odd piercings (like eyebrows) depending on what kind of job you are being interviewed for. Jeans and a t-shirt and weird, distracting piercings? Not a good idea. Show the interviewer that you respect them enough and that getting this job is important to you.
Secondly, if you have an angry customer, keep the philosophy that the "customer is always right" (even if you personally think they are crazy!) remain calm. DO NOT raise your voice. Speak normally but slowly, and call the customer Ma'am or Sir.
My friend is the boss where she works and these were the suggestions she gave to me.

also, if you are going to work at a law office for instance, dress up. but if you are going to an animal shelter and plan to be scooping poop? A collared shirt would be best.

  • Well if you have an angry customer what you want to do is listen to them without any interruptions, empathize and apologize for whatever the inconvenience is, and then resolve the problem. The importance of this question is that the hiring manager wants to know if you would be able to handle certain situations.

  • The best answer I can give you for an interview is to always be positive. Employers don't like to hear the word no. It may sound funny, but for example, if you're offered a cup of coffee then say you'd love one. That's even IF you don't drink coffee. Aside from that, just be yourself and be truthful in all of your answers. Many employers can see right through candidates that are being fake. Or if they hire you only to find later on you lied, well let's just say that won't be fun.

  • Just say that you ...you know they are angry and them seeing you get angry would only make matters worse....so you would remain calm...show them that you empathize with them...and try to defuse their anger by being as calm and helpful as you can.

  • be positive every interviewer likes a positive person it lets them no that you'll try ur best to b nice to all the customers
