109 Questions To Be Answered During A Job Interview

How would you handle a difficult customer?: Be careful here, don't say that you have never had a difficult customer as anyone who has dealt with customers knows that is impossible. Use a sample to demonstrate how you handle a difficult customer. Talk about an incident at a previous job (where, when), explain the situation, how you handled it, and what the outcome was.
Why should we choose you? : Ask yourself why you applied, what makes you prefect for this position, what can the company gain from hiring you, what have you got to offer, how would you handle this job. This is what they want to know, so go ahead and tell them.
Tell me about yourself: Split your answer into two, the professional and the personal level. Both are just as important, how you move from one to the other depends on what you have to say. The best way to answer this job interview question is to give a brief summary of your life, professional and personal, less emphasis on the early past, more emphasis on the present...

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview with sears!!!!!!?? tips please.?

So i have a job interview with sears for merchandising and pricing. I'm sixteen and will be turning seventeen in about a month. i don't have any job experience, but I'm well mannered, and i work hard. There are quite a few jobs opening (about five) so im guessing i could possibly have a chance at getting a job, who knows . Please give me tips and advice that will help, like: what to wear, and questions they'll ask. Thanks:D

Job Interviews Questions - To Ask Or Not to Ask

Recommended Answer:
First, make a lot of eye contact, smile, speak loudly and confidently and do a little research on sears. Also be prepared to answer why you should get the job (opposed to someone else) and why you want the job. Don't fidget, be polite and shake his/her hand. Most importantly, feel confident, and be yourself! Try to look clean and professional, but don't over due it. Make sure your breath smells good and try to be really friendly. Hope this helps, and good luck!

How to Handle Skilled Job Interviewers & Behavioral Interview Questions

  • Dress on the conservative side. No open toe shoes. They will ask about any work experience you have had, even babysitting, to see if you are a responsible person. They will ask if you can work nights and weekends, say yes, of course. They will ask if you like working with lots of different types of people, have a high energy level, and things like that.

Be pleasant, look the interviewer in the eye, don't look down or away. Smile. At the end of the interview tell them you are very interested in the job and hope to be hearing from them soon.

  • I heard that Sears is very hard to get hired. You are so young. Why don't you just worrying about school right now and college? I made that mistake working at a young age and missed out on so much. Now at 48 I am in college and wish I went after high school. If you do decide to continue with this interview just be yourself.

  • wear some d&g or armani dont bring your pet howler monkey as i have learned. smoke a cigar during the meeting sit back put your feet on the desk. talk italian. act italian. they'll think your mob

  • dont be so self confident, and be modest, thats all, tell them that you gonna work hard and you have social skills

Job Interviews - Six Blunders to Avoid

Recommended Answer:

Accounting Job Interview

  • i know what you mean... with jobs you really have to be persistent. sometimes people get lucky and get hired on the spot, depending on how desperate the job is. if you got an interview at target then you should call them up again and ask if they want to hire you or not. the manager will either say yes or no, and if he says no just move on to another job :) good luck!

  • Sometimes if their desperate for people they will hire on the spot lik before holidays or busy shopping days... but if u had two interviews sounds good... espescially in these times.. keep ur head up..

  • A 2nd interview is good..it means they're interested. Don't worry, give them a couple of days and they will call you. Good luck with that ok?

Job Interview Questions: Why did I even bother going to my job interview today?

I went for a job interview this morning. It was for a teachers assistant or paraprofessional position.

The school administrator told me they have someone now who is "trying" out the position now. It's like why didn't you tell me, not to come in for a job interview prior to my interview. Maybe they have to follow the equal opportunity rule. I don't know.

Basically they gave me 5 minutes of their time and bye.

Four Job Interview Mistakes That Can Torpedo Your Chances of Success

      Recommended Answer:
Its because employers don't really care. The whole hiring process needs to be regulated, or at least part of it, by the government. Your description is one of the things that should be considered. They should have called you, but in reality I guess they don't have to. That's a problem that needs to solved.

The government should step in to this and make companies who are hiring:
-Call/email/mail applicants if they are even considered
-Call/email/mail applicants after the interview(s) to let them know of their status
-Call/email/mail applicants once the position is filled
-And now, call/email/mail applicants if they shouldn't come in for the interview or other

Right now its just a professional courtesy for any of that, among other things.

Job Interview Tips And Advice - 2 Important Skills

      • There are several reasons that this happens. If they are trying out someone, they are not convinced that they are the right fit - and will keep interviewing until a final offer is made. In some cases, they know the person isn't right, and are looking for a better fit. It can also be they are saying thanks, but no thanks to you without telling you outright that you are out of contention. The fact that they told you someone is in the position, and that the interview lasted 5 minutes sends the message that they are not interested in your background.

IF you choose to purse this company or this or other opportunities there, the time to strike is now. You need to let them know you are still interested in working with them, and ask them if you would be considered for other opportunities as well.

      • Most likely the position is a unionized one, and a union member applied for the position and they have priority over outsiders. It does not mean that this person will like the job or can do it, but the school administrators have no option but to let them try the position if they have a minimum of qualifications. Should it so happen that the position becomes vacant again, you should be on the short list and would be called for a further interview.
You may not have gone for nothing yet. Don't despair. Good luck.

      • They had someone already, they have to make it look as though they chose the one from many. It appears fairer that way.
Consider the ones who fish, casting the net many times.

      • Sorry to hear that. In this business environment, people do not consider the normal practice no more. They are becoming egomaniac for some reason.

I am really sorry to hear that.

Questions to Ask During a Job Interview - Make Sure You Cover These!

      Recommended Answer:
I'll tell you the three things I've heard from interviewers that really help with phone interviews:

      1. NO distractions. Make sure you're somewhere away from barking dogs, loud TVs, kids crying, etc.

      2. Smile. Even though they can't see you, the smile really comes through in your voice and makes you sound cheerful and enthusiastic.

      3. Practice. Get a friend to run through some questions with you on the phone (or try the video interview below). They'll tell you if you sound natural and professional. Prepare answers to common questions, like "Why do you want to work here?"

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

What Are The Most Popular Job Interview Questions?

      • There are several things to consider on having a job interview on the phone, first is to know about yourself of what you have written in the application form/resume or curriculum vitae, as most of the questions will start from the information you have provided.

Second is to know about the the position and the company you are applying for. Third is physical awareness, make sure you talk in the room where there will be no noise interruptions or any source of disruption, telephone line is ok, or mobile phone battery is fully charge, and your ears are ok.

Listen carefully to the questions and answer it directly & concisely & clearly that is including voice modulation.

Also important to note that, you should know the phone courtesy, do not cut when the person on the other line is still talking. And bring with you notebook & pen so you may take notes as needed. Good luck and God bless!

      • You prepare the same way for a phone interview as you would for a face-to-face interview. Even dressing up will be reflected in how you handle yourself on the phone.

Below are some interview questions you might want to prepare for.

      • if it's stressing you out too much, you may want to focus on the job you do have. however, you can practice with a tape recorder on your voice intonation.

      • Follow the advise the first two people gave you it was right on. Remember to smile it will come through the phone.

6 Tips For a Successful Medical Device Sales Job Interview

      • I know you''re anxious to hear, but if you're in the U.S., do not write until Wednesday after the July 4th weekend. It is entirely possible that you have key personnel out of the office right now, the competition is fierce, and the decision has really not been made yet. The silence may be bad but it may also be very good.

        Dear ---

I interviewed with you on _____ for _______ (position title), and I really want to let you know that I enjoyed the interview very very much. To me, it was more like a conversation among colleagues than an interview and it made me more interested in the position than I had been before we met. At the time, you indicated that I could expect a decision within a week, and of course it has now been considerably longer than that. So I write to find out the status of this process and of my application. As I said, I am enthusiastically interested in this position and your company, and the interview was an exceptionally positive experience for me. So as you might imagine, I will definitely look forward to hearing from you, hopefully soon and hopefully positively.

        Sincerely -

You can edit this to suit your own voice, but this should do it.
