Job Interview Questions: If I missed a call from a recent job interview, should I call back?

I missed a call from a place I interviewed at earlier. There was a 5 second message left, which consisted of the person on the other line trying to hang up. Should I call the number back or wait for them to call me back?

How to Handle Skilled Job Interviewers & Behavioral Interview Questions

Recommended Answer:
Call them, what have you got to lose?.

It is a 50-50 chance if you call, it is a 0% chance if you do not call.

How To Get Ready For A Job Interview

  • call them.. show confidence!

  • Call them. Unless they left a message than they probably said you must not be that interested in the job but if you call them and explain you couldnt get to the phone in time shows that you do want the job by asking if they called you. Say to the person that picks up that you think think someone just called me and they they will say oh ya we did and then probably will forgive you and tell you what they wanted in the first place

Job Interview Questions: What do i wear to my job interview?

I got an interview from The Source, its an electronics retailer.
I was wondering if i have to wear a suit? lol. i have no idea this is my first interview.

If i dont have to wear a suit, would a collar shirt and jeans be alright? i really have no idea what to wear : /

Recommended Answer:
Suits are the best for a job interview, but if you don't have one, a button down shirt with a collar and dress slacks will do. A tie would also be nice. Never wear jeans to an interview. Be sure your hair is cut and combed properly. Also make sure your dress shoes match (no tennis shoes or brown shoes with black pants, etc.).

Tips to Ace Your Insurance Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
Remain calm, maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Ask thoughtful questions and at the end, ask him/her when they would expect to make a decision. In that way, you'll know when you can start. Plus, it will look like you want the job to the interviewer.

    Good luck!

Nervous About an Upcoming Job Interview? Just Focus on the Three Interview Objectives

    • WHEN U GO TO INTERVIEW JUST COOLMIND
DONT ACT TO BE OVERSMART .AND UR DRESS.

    • don't wear cologne. Make good eye contact. If the interviewer drops something, pick it up. Show up 5 min early. Wear brown or khaki. Be ver cordial to everyone in the establishment as he/she may be observing your interactions with others. Avoid religion and politics.

    • Walk in with confidence (in your dress, your walk, your talk and your posture). A firm handshake with your introduction. Sit straight, do not fold your arms, play with your hands or bounce your foot. Don' fidget. If you have questions you save them for the end. Let the interviewing person interview.

    • Make eye contact, but don't stare too long....you don't want to intimidate the interviewer...

Strong handshake, but again, don't crush his/her hand. And give your hands a quick wipe before you go in, in case you're nervous and they're sweaty.

Don't fidget, and don't bouce your legs or anything like that....show you're confident and relaxed. Don't slouch...And get a good night sleep, and be awake for a while before you go in....yawning is a big negative in an interview....shows you're not interested, or not reliable enough to come in fresh and at your best.

Show up 5-10 minutes early, but no earlier than 15 minutes early....any earlier than that, and it shows you don't respect their schedule. They gave you a set time to come in, so come in at the right time...but if they say 8am....don't show up at 8am either...or def not at 8:05

    • You are clearly an articulate and intelligent chap, i think you will be just fine:)

Job Interview Questions: Any Tips For A First Time Job Interview?

Ok, so I have my very Job Interview on April 2nd. Since this is my very first job interview, I'm looking for any tips that I might need to know. So, do you guys have any?

I'm applying to work at a Summer Camp. Also what are some questions that employers usually ask?

Thanx to all those who answer :)

Tips to a Job Interview Presentation to Impress Your Hiring Manager

    Recommended Answer:
Shoulder to shoulder contact dress appropriately to the specifications of the employer do not chew gum eye to eye contact when speaking to or be spoken to avoid looking off in different directions and avoid hand gestures unless what your trying to explain is difficult

How to Answer Job Interview Questions - How to Impress Your Potential Employer

    • I've worked at summer camps before, and often you're going to have to deal with problems between kids. Little stuff like jealousy and silly arguments. So the employer is going to ask you if you've ever been in a position where you've had to deal with conflict. What was the situation and how did you deal with it/ make it better? Have you ever been involved in any arguments between yourself and another colleague? How did you fix that? They're going to ask you about your leadership capabilities...if you're a student you can talk about clubs you've been in or other activities where you've had leadership experience. If you haven't, you can talk about how you're eager to gain this type of experience, and what kind of qualities you think you have that would make you a good leader. Maybe you listen well to other people, or you're patient, etc. They're going to give you hypothetical events..like say you heard how another colleague dealed with a situation and you didn't think it was right. Would you get involved yourself or report it to the supervisor? (Always say you'll report anything you're unsure about to the supervisor). Why do you want to work here, what qualities do you think you have that seperates you from other candidates?

If you don't know how to answer a specific question, take your time to think it through. Don't be nervous. Make sure you have eyecontact. Try to keep 'umm' or 'like' to a minimum. You have to sound confident. Good luck!

    • Darth, Show up 5-10 minutes before your interview, dress casual but look nice, be friendly, don't be too wordy when you reply to the interviewer's questions, LISTEN to the interviewers, try to be relaxed & not nervous, Act as though you're really interested in the job, & during the interview, always have eye contact with them. DO NOT BE LATE!!! Good luck! :<)

    • Always research the company before you go, they may ask you what you know about them. Also shows you are interested. Always make eye Contact and remember your body language!

Job Interview Questions: Should I take my boyfriend to his job interview tommorrow?

We have been together for seven months. He only had a job for one month we were together. He never has money and doesn't have a car. I always drive to see him. We want to move in together. So he applied for jobs and has an interview tmmrw. Should I let him drive my car to the interview or no? But I would have to get up early because I have work tommorrow. Should I be supportive. I have been more than supportive for him in this relationship

English for Your Job Interview - How to Succeed

    Recommended Answer:
It's a nice thought, but I would suggest you say no. The simple reason is if he gets the job, how is he going to get to and from work? He needs to find a job he can get to himself without depending on you to drive him.

And, I know you're going to say, "But I love him!" but seriously, why are you going to move in with someone who can't hold a job, doesn't have a car, and never has any money? You know you're going to end up paying for everything, right? If that's what you want to do, that's your right, of course. You can't be surprised and angry when it happens though.

What Colors To Wear To A Job Interview

    • ok the thing about moving in with each other is bad cuz if he loves you he should marry you or wait until you guys can marry each other.. your boyfriend has only gotten a job for a month!!! thats bad and wait until he gets a real job for a long time to move in with him( altho u shouldnt move in with him at all) no dont let him drive your car... ohh yea and do not drive to see him he should find ways to go see you :) hope it helped

    • If you love this guy, if he treats you right, and you REALLY believe that he can hold a job once he gets one, then yes. Be supportive and help him in any way you can.
For your own sake please think this through and make sure that he can hold up his share of the responsibilities. You dont want to get stuck footing all the bills.

    • If u REALLY want to move in with him then maybe u should let him but be careful and don't let him take advantage

    • Yeah go ahead drive him , thats really nice of you.

Job Interview Questions: Group job interview and what to expect?

I applied for a job with an oil company as a technician. They had everyone take a written test and apparently I passed. Now they have a group interview or group assessment. I want to be as prepared as possible. Does anyone know what I should expect or have any tips?

Question To Ask At A Job Interview-5 Of The Best Questions!

    Recommended Answer:
The interviewers only have a few minutes to determine your suitability for the technician role, so strive to be confident, speak with assurance and appear enthusiastic. Make certain you sit up straight, foster and maintain direct eye contact, and do not fidget in your chair. If there is more than one interviewer, remember their names and use them when responding to their questions.

One of the most important facets of the interview is the initial greeting. Smile, then give them a firm handshake. When I received a limp handshake, my initial reaction was to think of the applicant as a delicate candidate who may be unsuitable for hard work. Finally, display strength in your voice and let them know you have a strong work-ethic and willingly do whatever is necessary to get the job done. Good luck!

      1) Why do you want to work for us and how did you hear about us?
      2) Do you have any previous experience?
      3) If there is a problem, how would you handle it?

Job Interview Questions: What to expect on my first job interview?

I have an Interview at Target
this will be my FIRST job interview!

        i'm a nervous wreck
I want to be prepared with what they might ask?

        I need advice, Help!

Thank You For The Job Interview - Are You Sending a Follow Up Letter?

        Recommended Answer:
I work at Target. Dress nice, like if you were going to church. Having a resume is nice, but not needed. I didn't have one.
They want to know how you can make target a better place, and sometimes they ask if you have experience doing certain situations.
Example, have you and other been assigned a task where you have to have it completed by a certain time? Have you deal with customers in a retail environment? You comfortable communicating with customers?
I was nervous when I went for my interview but it was not bad, only lasted an hour.
One thing you need to be prepared for is, you do 2 interviews back to back.
One manager interviews you for like 15mins, then you wait a bit then another manager interviews you for 15mins. If they like you, right after the second interview they will give you a conditional job offer saying how much you will make. All you have to do after is take a drug test within 24 hours from the interview ending time. Drug test is easy, you pee in a cup and within a couple of days if you are clean, they call you for orientation.
Orientation is easy, you and some others go in a room and watch videos for like 3 hours about policies, certain situations, rules, and how to do your job. Then they give you paperwork to fill out then you get a tour of the store. You also get paid for the orientation, which lasts about 4 hours.
During your orientation you will get your training schedule for the next 2 weeks. Your hours will be limited, but after 2 weeks you will be getting a normal schedule with normal hours and carrying on with your job. Example, for my first 2 weeks I only worked 18 hours, which got me a $130 paycheck. Then after I started doing 20 hours a week and I get around $270 every 2 weeks. Around holiday time, expect to work 25+ hours as they need the help, so you will get a nice fat paycheck.
Enjoy, target is a great place to work at. I am a cashier and I love it.

Oil Rigs Employment - Some Facts About the Oil Rig Job Interview

        • Relax... deep breath now...

Interviews are not as bad as you may be thinking. Don't forget you are not just going to see if a company wants YOU, you are going to see if the company is good enough for YOU! Try and look at it that way and it makes things slightly easier.

Just turn up a few minutes early, dress smartly, be clean and tidy and have a smile on you at all times!

Try and find out a little bit about the company before you go and try and have a couple of questions ready for them. I don't mean like 'what holiday do i get' or anything like that, ask them about the company, e.g. how long have they been going, are they looking to progress into any other service or product etc... Just appear keen. Thank them at the end of the interview for their time in considering you for the post.

Just give honest and simple answers to their questions, they WILL know and expect you to be nervous so this will not go against you. Most of all, best of luck ;-)

        • I work for Target. You need to dress nice and speak up. This is a very friendly company so show that side of yourself. Use your manners yes ma'am no sir. Don't forget that in an interview you are selling yourself. They did not ask any hard questions just things like "Why should we hire you?" and "How will you make Target a better place for other team members and guests?" (team members are employees and guests are shoppers) Good luck!!

        • You need to dress appropriately, preferably in a skirt with a nice top, no tatoos/piercings, little jewelry or perfume............the questions will pertain to the position you have applied for and will be like: have you worked in customer service before; how would you handle a certain situation, etc, etc. Be sure to send the interviewer a "thank you for the interview" email the next day

        • have your resume with you with extra copys dress nice frist inpressins are every thing with in the first 20 to 30 sec there more likely to hire or not hire you. most of the time the will ask like: what are weekness and how you over come them. what do you know about our compney ( speend a few hours the day befor the interview and a few hour before you go for the job so you know the compny. show them that you really whant that job that is if the ask stuff like that). be there about 10 to 5 mins before you need to be there if you are nevice then take 10 to 15 debreathes to help you com down it only natrual for some one to be nervice for some thing like this. just answer the question to the best you can and dont make some thing up or it will hurt you in the end.
