Job Interview Questions: I have my first job interview on saturday; can you help me with what to wear?

I don't have any fancy pants, and I'm the kind of girl (I'm 17) who wears tee shirts and jeans. Should I just find the nicest shirt I can find and the nicest pair of jeans, with maybe flats or something?

And I'm thinking that this interview won't be that fancy, because it's a job working in the park downtown (they have rides, ice skating rink, and an IMAX theater.. etc..).

Any tips? :D

Job Interview Do's and Don'ts

Recommended Answer:
Here's some tried and true advice about interviews. Dress for the job that your applying for. How silly would you look, walking in dressed like an accountant or a prom date, if your applying for a job selling tickets. It's a park, it's casual and fun. I think jeans and a t-shirt would be fine.

5 Top Tips For Preparing For a Job Interview

  • If you really want the job, nothing.

If you sorta want it, main point is to be yourself, clothing is a bonus.

  • Jeans are ok as long as they don't have holes in them. better be safe and wear a pair of khaki pants and nice top not too low cut. casual shoes no sneakers, good luck with the job

  • If you are a seventeen year old girl getting a job, then you should be fine to wear nice jeans and a nice shirt. Make sure to wear jeans without holes or decorations. Wear nice shoes too. no flip flops or crocs.

If you want this job then I would impress them with investing in a nice outfit. A plain button up shirt (ironed) and black pants with black shoes. You are 17 and it isn't too early to get in the habit of preparing for interviews.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear to a job interview?

Hey there fellow yahoo answerers!

I just got a call for a lifeguarding job interview next Wednesday.
I'm a girl with a decent sized wardrobe.

What should I wear!?!?

Also any ideas of what they might ask me?

Thanks darlings! (:

How to Master a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
I would wear something like athletic shorts that hit your knees because that shows your boss your fit for the job. And wear a shirt that isn't skin tight but loose. The outfit should say that your willing to take things seriously and your athletic. (just in case, wear a bating suit under it)

How to Prepare the Best Job Interview Answers

  • I think a lifeguard positon would be pretty laid back in general, try wearing a sundress that hits right above your knees (not too short, though) and maybe a nice quarter-sleeved cardigan, a light/dark brown belt and some cute flats!

They will probably ask you mainly about your job experience and why you fit the job/ why they should hire you. Try not to act nervous, make it seem like you're having a normal conversation with them and show them how relaxed you are under pressure. Hope this helps, good luck!

Job Interview Questions: What kind of paper/stationary do I send a thank you letter on for a job interview?

I want to send a thank you letter for a job interview I had two weeks ago and express that I'm still very interested in the job. Is this a good idea?

Also, what kind of paper/stationary? Typed or handwritten? Where do I find this stationary. Tell me exactly what it should look like.

Questions to Ask in the Job Interview - How to Nail Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
It is a very good idea and I am hoping it snares me a job, as it has in the past. I usually go for an email but if you want to make it more personal just use plain paper cut to size or letter writing paper with no lines.
Keep it very simple and no more than two sentences. Something like 'thank you for the opportunity to discuss this position on xx/xx/xxxx. If you have any further questions you wish to clear up please feel free to call/email me on xxxxxx'
Best of luck, thank you notes are very effective!
Remember keep it simple

Job Interview Tips - How to Showcase Your Talents Confidently

  • You're on the right track by realizing that you should send a "thank you" card to the interviewer.

A plain white (professional looking) thank you card is best. They usually sell them in packs of 8 at most card shops or drug stores. Hand write the note neatly. Good luck!

EDITED - Something that looks like this or similar is best: cgi.ebay.com/48-Bonus-Pack-Gold-S…

  • For a job interview type a thank you letter on business stationery. This is not a "card" situation, it's a business situation. Good luck with the job.

  • Plain paper...handwritten is OK. Just say something like: Thank you for taking the time to meet with me. I remain interested in working with you and your team. Please feel free to call with any additional questions you might have.

  • High end (won't cost too much) - Crane's thank you cards
