Job Interview Questions: What should you wear to a job interview?

For Yogurtland, is jeans and a button up shirt good enough?

Best Answers to the Trickiest Job Interview Questions

Recommended Answer:
You're going for an interview at Yogurtland, not NASA. Yes, I think that's enough. But look presentable and clean.

Job Interviews - How to Ace a Telephone Job Interview

  • What you wear to an interview is important because your clothes give your employers an impression of their future employee. For a place as casual as Yogurtland, I suppose jeans and a button up shirt is good enough, a suit would be too much and t-shirt and shorts would be too casual.

Before you even think about going on an interview, make sure you have appropriate interview attire and everything fits correctly.
    - Get your clothes ready the night before, so you don't have to spend time getting them ready on the day of the interview.
    - If your clothes are dry clean only, take them to the cleaners after an interview, so they are ready for next time.
    - Polish your shoes.
    - Bring a breath mint and use it before you enter the building.

  • I've never been to a yogurt land, but it sounds cool. I would not recommend wearing jeans for your initial interview. Khakis with the button up shirt should be good though. No matter how casual the work environment, dress to impress for the interview, it gives a good first impression, showing that you care and you are taking the job seriously. Good Luck on getting the job!!!

  • Yesh that good enough to keep the Death Eater's attention away from you, fellow wizard!
I'ld wear my cloak of invisibility, to keeo the nargle away from me, and so Voldymort can't see me applying for another job other than serving him as a Death Eater

  • dress pants, dress shoes, button up **** tucked in with a belt, and a tie is optional
NEVER where jeans to a job interview even if it's not a very classy job

  • i would wear a shirt and tie. but that is just me.

  • Yes, that sounds appropriate enough and Goodluck on the job interview :)

  • I guess looking respectable gives you a great chance. No matter what job really.

  • I think for yogurt land it sounds appropriate if clean and neat.

  • Wear slacks and a somewhat formal shirt. you got to look presentable for any kind of job.

  • WEAR NOTHING.

  • A play boy mansion bunny outfit.

  • wear a banana suit

  • Always dress to impress Mate.

  • Pants and a button up shirt. Dressy shoes.
    :)

  • a pair of slacks, a dress shirt and leather shoes

  • Yea sure, that looks good. :)

  • Not jeans. Wear some dress pants.

  • birthday suit

  • mini skirt and a strapless bra.

  • clothes with brands on them work well.

  • suit

  • use shoes not slipper

  • I wear my going out collar.

Job Interview Questions: How do I land this job? Interview on Monday!?

I have an interview at subway on Monday. I honestly need this job. What should I do to nail this job, first job, first interview, first application and everything.

Five Powerful Body Language Tips to Ace Your Next Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
First of all, dress to impress. Usually, you would dress to fit the type of work you would be doing everyday. A nice ironed, pair of dress slacks and a white or other solid colored shirt is usually a good call. Never wear jeans, T shirts, excessive jewelery, makeup, perfume, and make sure that your fingernails and hair are neat, clean and styled. For a male, a tie isn't necessary, however a shirt with a collar will likely score you a couple of points. Dressing well indicates that you are maticulous about your appearance and will likely exhibit the same behavior at work.

When it comes to the actual interview, you should always arrive ON TIME. Maybe even ten minutes early. This tells the prospective employer that you are punctual and responsible.

It is expected that you will be nervous during the question portion of the interview. Try not to be, and make a few practice runs by yourself before the interview. Answer all questions honestly, and try to play up your strengths, since this is your first job interview. For example, if you are on the honor roll, mention that. If you have volunteered in the past, mention that.

This should help you through. Good luck.

Job Interview Questions: Revealing sexual orientation during job interview?

I am a lesbian interviewing for a job with a not for profit organization, this is a direct snippet from their affirmative action plan ".... our affirmative action plan currently concentrates on recruitment of people from four groups for its staff and committees: third world people; women; gay, lesbian, and bisexual people; and people with disabilities"... I want to be open at my new job would it be ok to reveal my sexuality during the interview?

Recommended Answer:
why would u have to during an interveiw?? it shouldn't come up... it'd be better to mention it after u get the job but i dont see why it's necessary

Job Interview Mistakes to Avoid

  • When does sexual orientation come up during an interview? Any interviewer asking such questions should be fired-- has nothing to do with the job unless it is a brothel. As for an affirmative action plan stating that, really bizarre. I suppose if you want to reveal your sexuality during an interview, that is up to you. But keep in mind, while this bizarre affirmative action plan may be the "policy" doesn't mean all the supervisors doing interviews agree with it. So you might just blow your chances of being hired if the person doing the interview doesn't have the corporate philosophy to heart. And if you don't get hired, little you can do to prove it was because of your expressed sexuality.

But overall, why do people think other people care or want to know personal information of such detail? Most don't.

  • How exactly will you bring that up in the interview?

What reaction do you want from those interviewing you?

Personally, it would annoy me if you brought it up. It really doesn't matter whether your gay or straight. Straight people don't go into an interview and declare their sexuality. You shouldn't either.

    Though....

At the moment, because companies need to fill a "diversity" policy, if your gay or an ethnic minority and qualified for the job, your very likely to get it......

  • It should never come up anyway, I wouldn't reveal your sexuality. Most people don't want to know about sexual orientation during a job interview. Save that stuff for your personal time.

  • Only if they hire you to be a lesbian. To perform lesbian sex in front of every body, everyday.

  • If it says it concentrates on the recruitment of LGBT people, then you have a better chance of being hired.

  • yes, if they don't accept it then it's not worth it!

Recommended Answer:
try calling back, if it wouldn't seem too stupid, just pretend you are "confirming", say something like, "I am confirming the interview in (wherever it is) on the date (whatever it is) and hopefully they will tell you what time. If you don't have the guts for that, it is better to be early than late.

Job Interview Skills - What You Must Have to Land the Job

  • Be early. You will appear enthusiastic and organized by the employeer.. and they will never know that you didnt know what time to come in! ;)
Good luck with the interview! =)

  • go at 11 just in case. it's better safe than sorry. if you come late on your job interview, that's not too great and they might not want to hire you because you are not on time. bring something to keep you company if you are early. good luck!

  • call the manager and say someone stole your notebook, cell phone, or whatever and you need to confirm whether it's 11 or 11:30

  • Show up at 10:30 with a book.
Don't worry about looking stupid. Bring an intellectual book like maybe something by Dostoevsky or something. It's better to be early and relaxed.

  • Its ok to be early i wouldnt care if i looked stupid im myself and if someone was early i would never care its early or late pick 1

  • Follow the method "when you're on time you're late. when you're early, you're on time"
    they love that lol!

  • Better early than late.....you could always call to "confirm".

    Best of luck!

  • It's better to early than late. Try and reach by 10:45.

Job Interview Questions: Going on a job interview and I have a way shallow question - Poll?

Due to being unemployed I have not been able to keep up with my hair color. I have a stellar job interview this week, good navy dress suit, nice shoes, classy jewlery, perfect perfume ... but I have a bit of gray in my hair ... I kinda like it ... but I am not sure if I should color it to cover the gray??? What's going to get me the job ... leave it or color it?

Job Interview Skills

Recommended Answer:
I would say leave the gray, it shows experience. It also shows that you're comfortable enough in your own skin to let the gray grow in, its a sign of self confidence. :-)

Job Interview Techniques - 3 Super Tips When Preparing For A Job Interview

  • Honestly you should color it. Employers look at everything when your being interviewed not just your resume. And it maybe shallow but they are looking at your appearance as well. You are up against a lot of people especially with this job market. So you don't want to come across as needing this job as much as you might. Now is the time that they can be picky because there are so many possible employees to chose from. To them it may not make a difference but why risk it coming down to something that small and you not getting the job just because they think your appearance is lacking. If you can't afford to get it professionally done get a box color and do your whole head one color. At least you will look presentable until you get your first paycheck and can afford to get it they way you want. Good Luck

  • Your best bet is to appear as professional as possible. For a more polished look I would say color it but if they don't give you the job because a few gray hairs or heck even a head full of gray then that job was not for you.

  • That's WWWAAAYYYYY shallow. It doesn't matter. You're either qualified or not.
