Job Interview Questions: What happens if, at a job interview, the peson asks you a logic question you already know?

I've been doing a lot of logic puzzles, and I know that at a lot of companies (especially math-oriented jobs) you might be asked a logic question during a job interview. Even though I won't have to worry about this for a few more years, what happens if they ask you a question that you already know the answer to? Do you lie and act like you were smart enough to think on the spot? Or do you tell them you already know the answer and they give you another one?

How to Display Enthusiasm at a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
There are roughly 25 questions that you must be prepared for when having an interview. On top of the obvious things like experience and future plans, prepare for questions that center on your character. What have you done in the past that makes you a stellar employee, what can you offer this company that no one else can, etc.

Job Interview Tips - Best Interview Questions

  • If you know the answer, then give them the answer.

Dont tell them you already knew it, or you had similar tests before....that will just annoy them.

Just answer the question, calmly, politely, and to the best of your knowledge, without giving a "speech".

Why would any company penalize someone for being smart???? Thats stupid.

  • You don't say anything except what you need to say to solve the puzzle and show your reasoning. Let the interviewer draw his or her own conclusion.
