Job Interview Training For Managers - Will's Story

Recommended Answer:
Dress as though you want the manager's job. I agree you should go for darker colors. Wear a suit or if wearing a skirt or dress also wear a jacket. No sweaters, no cleavage, no bold jewelry. Wear lower heels; no spikes and don't forget to wear hose even if just for this interview. Wear your hair in a conservative fashion; no ponytails, no excess curls. Sophistication is the key here. If you have tats, make sure they're covered. Only one ring per hand and a simple watch and bag should complete the outfit. It isn't about the job for which you're interviewing, it's about your overall presentation.

From the Eyes of a Job Interviewer

  • 21, 16 or 42, you always want to dress professional for an interview. I even dress professionally when I pick up an application to let them know I mean business.

A button down shirt with dress pants or anything you would consider business attire (not a pants suit or anything like that) just nice. And not to revealing.

I'm 24 and have been serving and bartending for 9 years, my boyfriend is a restaurant manager and people don't think so, but the way you dress for an interview is more important than you interveiw itself.

  • Dress professionally. Black or brown dress pants, white dress shirt, black dress shoes and tie your hair up in a pony tail. All jobs that require you to work with food will tell you to tie your hair up when you work so its better to do it before and show them that you suit the job physically and then in your interview that you suit the job personally!

  • The key is to look pulled together. Always dress professionally, whatever the job is. This website has loads of options for good work and interview outfits: www.wearittowork.co.uk
    Good luck!
