Answering Interview Questions - How to Make the Right Impression in Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
It has probably been too long. If they ask you to call at the end of the month, and you don't, they think you won't come to work when they ask you to come in. I like to think of it as a test the employer is doing.

Yes, you should have called, but its a little late. Try another place that is hiring, but this time, if they ask you of anything, you should do it if you would like to be hired.

Job Interview Questions: How to escape questions about religion in job interview?

I don't want to talk about religion at work and school and don't want people judge me by my religion. I'm Christian but prefer not to talk about religion. It's too personal. I'll have an interview, if they asked me about my belief what is a good answer to bypass the question without sounding rude?

Job Interview Tips - Best Interview Questions

    Recommended Answer:
If you are in the U.S., they cannot legally ask you anything about religion in an interview. Nor can they ask about children, marriage, health, etc. If they do ask, say, "How is this relevant to the job being offered?"

Job Interview Weaknesses - How to Overcome These Common Job Interview Weaknesses

    • The first answer is correct. If you live in the US, it is illegal to ask a person about their religion in the interview. So basically if this happens, they're the ones who have problems, not you.

But realistically, even if you don't live in the US, I can't see how ones religious views would come into play in the vast majority of job interviews. It would certainly be the rare interview where it would even be relevant enough to be brought up, so I doubt you need to worry much. Even if it would, I think you could just say politely "I don't prefer to discuss religion in the workplace". I don't think that would sound rude at all :-)

    • If you live in the US, it's not legal for interviewers to talk about religion. If you live somewhere where it's legal to discuss religion in interviews, why not just say, "My beliefs are very personal and I prefer not to discuss them" or something like that?

    • NO one is allowed to ask questions re your religion, it is illegal and if they ask that, leave and look for another job. And at school or anywhere else just say sorry, that's my personal business and no one else's.

    • Likewise in Australia it is not a legal question. However, if they ask you could just explain that you do not allow your religious beliefs to interfere with your work. Throw a question back and ask if the religion will impact on the job.

    • You are a practical atheist. Don't be afraid of these "questions". Study, reflect and learn to defend your beliefs.

    • They can't ask you questions about religion in the US. Illegal to do that.

The 7 Most Common Job Interview Questions

    • depends on the job

    • Part time jobs, I would not believe so. :)

    • I would never wear jeans to an interview.

    • that's fine

    • No. If you wear jeans at all to any sort of interview, make sure they're boot cut or flare.

    • Depends on what the job and people are like.

    • If it's for McDonald's then yes.

    • I wouldn't. Even if you're looking for part time while in college, you should put your best image forward in an interview. Wear something a little more appropriate for a business environment. I'm not saying you have to wear a suit or something, but skinny jeans aren't the best idea. You only get one chance for a first impression ya know?

    • Black jeans are ok if it's for a waitress job.

    • umm depending on the job you are applying to.. i would wear a black pencil shirt and a green blouse with ruffles or whatever they are called
      something like this
      4.bp.blogspot.com/_u8fydAf_uGU/SW…

    • It really is depending on the job. If you're going for an interview to work in Fast Food, I don't think it would matter. But even retail watches what you wear, so I would wear black dress pants.

    • Yes. As long as they're black.

    • It is not ok to wear skinny jeans anywhere....

    • I don't think you should wear jeans to any job interview, no matter what it's for. Just think - if you and another person had an interview and you were both impossible to split then they're going to take everything into account...and if the other person is dressed more formally then they're probably going to be chosen as it would be assumed that they will be more likely to wear their uniform correctly. You would be better off to wear black dress pants or a black pencil skirt etc

    • only if your interview is for hot topic or a tattoo parlor
at least wear dark wash boot cut or straight leg or wide leg jeans.
or tan dress pants, or tweed pants.
i think tan pans (courdroy is fine)
but most def not black skinny jeans. it doesnt matter if youre working at the micky d's or an internship at a large business. it is a place of business, and maybe once u get the job skinny jeans are okay, (if dresscode permits) but not for an interview
