Absolutely. I got 3 of the best jobs of my life by following up. And it's not bad to send a Very Short Thank You note right after the interview. Good luck.

Nervous About an Upcoming Job Interview? Just Focus on the Three Interview Objectives

  • This is what I did for Wendy's and I already got a second interview there.

Give out your resume and/or application to the manager

Wait a week, if you don't get a call ask them if you can arrange in interview because you are interested to work there.

If they say yes, then go in and good luck :D

  • I would go into the actual store, thats what i did with Food lion and i got the job and im only 17. Do a online application cause they always ask for that, and then walk into the store and ask to speak to the store manager or MOD (manager on duty).

Job Interview Questions: Don't feel to well and have a job interview?

don't feel to well and have a job interview i kind of went out the night before but didn't have too many but still don't feel to good other words i have the s***'s should i see if i can change it or just go for it since i agreed before i went out i would turn up.

Job Interview Tips

Recommended Answer:
If you find an exuse not to turn up, you can kiss the job goodbye.
Before an interview, go to bed at your normal time, so that you fall asleep straight away.
The bed should be in the same state as it always is - don't try to make it "extra comfortable".
Don't drink alcohol or take any drugs before bedtime or after you wake up, except coffee or tea for breakfast.
Eat your normal breakfast. But at least have something in your stomach, even if it's just a slice of bread.
Polish your shoes.
Go to the toilet before you have a shower.
Dress for the job, i.e. when you enter the room, they must think: "That's the guy. We can see him doing the job".
TURN UP ON TIME!
Tell yourself how happy and relaxed you are about it all - remember, if you don't get the job, it's not the end of the world.
If you get nervous, remember that the body and the mind are linked. You cannot relax your mind, but you can relax your body, and that will relax your mind. You do this by breathing deeply then letting you entire body relax as you breath out. Let it feel like a ring or relaxation starting at the top of you head, lowering your shoulders, and ending at your toes. Do this several times, even during the interview if necessary, you can do it almost invisibly (except to the trained eye, and that eye will regard it as a plus).

Job Interview Follow Up - Five Simple Steps to Success

  • if you reeeeeeeally want the job, try popping some pepto and go - if it's not a HUGE deal to you, you could try calling (as early as possible), telling them you have a stomach virus (which NOBODY wants to be near!) and wondered if it's possible to reschedule.

    Good luck!

  • If you don't show up - you can forget all about that job, Bubba!
If you're not even reliable enough to show up for an interview, then they will figure out you're not reliable enough to show up for work when they need you.

  • They probably wont like if you want to reschedule and that will ruin your chances of getting the job. Tough it out and try your best and do the interview when you supposed to.

  • well i guess it depends on how bad you want the job.it don't look to good to an employer that you cant even show up to an interview.their going to wonder how depend able are you going to be if they hire you.

  • seems like you really dont need the job since someone that wouldve really wanted it would have decided to sleep early to wake up refreshed. I say hold back and let someone else take the job. Go back to drinking

  • Tell the interviewer that if they don't give you the job you'll throw up on them.

The 11 Cardinal Mistakes of Job Interviews

Recommended Answer:
They only need to see it if they are actually going to hire you, so I would assume it isn't necessary. You can always get a copy of your birth certificate, I think at your local court house, but It shouldn't be necessary.

Hopefully this helps, Good Luck :)

Job Interview Questions: Should I ask to reschedule a job interview?

A job interviewer called and left me a message saying that I can schedule an interview from 12 - 2:30 on Wednesday and Thursday. I am a high school student, so I go to school from 8 to 3. Although I can excuse myself from school, I would rather not.

Would it be acceptable to ask if an interview can be scheduled after 3:00? Or would that be unprofessional/unacceptable?

2day i went 2 a job interview at a gas station and the manager told me sorry but we dont hire people with tattoes and i c u have one on ur neck(a rose). Then she told me that she didnt wanna waste my time so the interview was canceled.Does that ever happened 2 any of u?not being hired cos of a tat?how did u feel?

A Guide to Preparing For Your Job Interview

      Recommended Answer:
A great many places will not hire anyone with visible tattoos, body piercings (except pierced ears - and wear good quality earrings), etc. "Professional attire and professional appearance" are required most places, especially if you come into contact with the public.

Foolish place to get a tattoo. Can you wear turtlenecks to hide it - not just for the interview, but every day at work? Consider getting it removed.

How to Earn a Winning Grade on Your Next Job Interview

      • When I interviewed at my last job I would pretty much write off any applicant with a visible tatoo. It is very unprofessional looking. I'm glad that even gas stations are discouraging it. Hopefully this fad of defacing every inch of a person's body will go away soon. I can't wait to see the 70 year olds walking around in 30 years with tattoos on their necks.

      • It could be that they just didnt like the look of you and used that as an excuse.

Then again - I do know that some places still dont like tattoos. Dont worry about it too much though - Still plenty of jobs out there!

Job Interview Questions: Job interview! PLEASE HELP!!?

I recently got a new job at a small law firm in september just for temporarily until i find a job in a hotel. And now i got a job interview at a high end hotel in Las Vegas.

The problem is that i don't know whether or not if should tell them during the interview that i am currently working or not. When I applied for the hotel job, i didn't write it on my resume because i didn't want it to effect my chances of getting picked for having such a short time period for a job i don't really care about.

PLEASE HELP ME! SHOULD I TELL THEM THAT I AM CURRENTLY WORKING OR NOT?
      PLEASE HELP!

      THANK YOU!

This happened to me this summer.
I told the new job in the interview that I was working part time right now to supplement income but that they knew up front when they hired me that I was continuing to seek full time employment and that I would be leaving them when I found full time employment. Say you need to be fair and professional to them and give them your two weeks notice, but that you had discussed it with them at hire and they were prepared for your early departure. Then you sound responsible and not like a jerk. Good luck, I hope you get it!!

Job Interview Skills Tips - Sample Interview Thank You Notes

      • I think you should be honest about having a job. I have done this already a few times and from my experience every employer likes it when you are honest about things and that will count as a bonus for you getting the job.

      • Tell them, espeicially if you have to give notice of a week or more at your current job, that way if you're successful they will know when you are able to start. Its also evidence that you are willing to work.

Job Interview Techniques - 3 Super Tips When Preparing For A Job Interview

      • There are so many ways to botch it that I can't possibly list them all. You could show up in shorts and a T-shirt, you could come in with raggedy clothes on, you could show up twenty minutes late, or you could come in looking angry like you want to whoop someone's assss. The list here could go on on.

      • wear a trash bag, dip my hair in a mud puddle, "forget" to brush my teeth after eating a big helping of garlic, and show up high as a kite, think that oughta do it!

      • Ha Ha, lovely. Ask if it's ok to have a 2 hour lunch break as you usually like 4-6 pints of lager to keep the shakes at bay. Trouble is, you'll prob get the job!!
        Poll:Asym.

      • When they get to the question of why you are not at your most recent job anymore repeat the following..
Well, I was caught embezzling a rather large sum of money...but its ok because they made me pay it back...well some of it"

      • Take a Viagra a good half hour in advance. Talk in a poorly feigned russian accent. Smell your fingers periodically. And don't forget to not brush your teeth.

      • Fart. A lot. Loudly.

        Asymmetrical.

      • you tell the guy/girl who is interviewing you that you are the better partner for their partner and you want them to be FIRED!

      • Eat a whole mess of something that will cause anal leakage followed with a lot of cups of coffee.

        Asymmetrical
Note: Bring extra pants for the ride home.

      • Cough in their face and then tell them that not even the Swine Flu could keep you away from the interview.Symmetrical

      • piss yourself and make as many references as possible to you sodomizing the person interviewing you.

      • Start interview them !

      • Go a bit drunk with alcohol on your breath, hair uncombed and in slept in clothes.

      • Just walk in wearing a pink tutu and a ball gag that should do the trick.Symmetrical I like the idea of 2 bewbies.

      • show up with a beer in your hand and insult the interviewer.

      • Go in smelling like booze, lay down a really gassy fart or two, and then throw up in their wastebasket.
        Poll: Symmetrical

      • Pull a Sharon Stone and show your Basic Instinct.Wait...that might just get me the job......Symmetrical.

      • That's easy. Just say: You don't do drug test do you? And if their reply is yes, just say, awww mannn!!!

      • Wear a Snuggie and argue with the voices in your head.

      • sneeze in your hand before you shake the interviewers

      • Wouldn't bathe or brush my teeth (eat corn chips on top of that). Talk loudly or act narcoleptic. Scratch myself in weird places.

        Symmetrical.

      • Light a cigarette....that'll do it every time
