Job Interview Questions: At a Walmart job interview if they ask How do you think you are suitable for this job position?

What should my answer be? If the positions Cashier or overnight stocker

Types of Job Interview Questions

Recommended Answer:
Depending upon your experience:

For cashier position--You enjoy working with people and you know how to work a cash register and handle money. You have experience bagging and bringing in carts.

For overnight stocker--tell them you enjoy physical labor, can lift X about of pounds safely, enjoy working as part of a team, etc.

They can't ask about this but I have told potential employers that my availability is flexible as I don't have children and my husband has no preference as to which shift I work.

Job Interviewing Tips - Success Through a Thank-You-Letter

Recommended Answer:
For a cashier position they are going to want someone who seems friendly and able to talk to people. Just make sure to smile and maintain eye contact. Also no matter how nervous you are make sure you seem confident! Try to think of answers ahead of time. The most typical thing they will as is for you to describe yourself. They are not so much looking to hear about your personal life but your professional life and what it is you can bring to the job. If you haven't had a job before talk about your school work and extra curricular actives you have been involved in. Honestly they are not going to care so much about what you answer but how you answer. So like I said be confident, talk clearly and try not to say umm... or ahhh... a lot. Good luck! (=

Eliminate Job Interview Anxiety

  • Sit up straight, hold your head high answer questions with confidence. Be sure of yourself and don't feel intimidated. Have an extra copy of your resume, if you have one, list of references just in case the interviewer ask for one.

You don't have to wear a business suit but the standard interview attire if you're a guy, shirt and tie, dark slacks or khakis. If you're a gal knee-length skirt, white blouse, make sure the jewelry is toned down, stay away from big earrings, etc.

    Good luck to you.

Job Interview Questions: I don't know what to expect from my group job interview?

I have a job interview tormorrow for a company called Home Fundraising. Their basically a charity company who employ people to ask for donations. I'm nervous because I never work well under pressure and have never had a group interview before. Also they say the dress code is smart casual which confuses me as thats a massive oxy moron lol. Any help from anyone who has experienced this type of interview would be greatly appreciated.

What To Do And Not To Do In A Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
I'll answer your easy question first. "Smart casual": You can rarely ever over dress for an interview of any kind. Shirt, tie, nice pair of pants, and shoes which do not look like they have gone through the mud.

Group interviews can be tricky depending on the style in which they are run.

Some are intentionally run to be competitive. In this case, speak your mind and jockey to get a word in edgewise, but never say anything stupid. The purpose here is to show that you can do well under pressure. Never over-talk other people, but don't let other people over-talk you either. Defend your right to be heard. Remember, though, that all of your statements should reflect how you would be the best candidate for the available position. Don't ever speak negatively of others or of prior employers. Truthfully, these are the hardest group interviews to navigate well, and each situation is a little different, so come prepared for battle but not for being impulsive.

Some are much more relaxed. An agenda will be reviewed, and an orderly collection of information and discussion will ensue. In this case, follow all instructions very carefully. That, alone, is a test to see if you can follow instructions. Be prepared to present yourself in a very calm and collected manner. Highlight your strengths as a person and potential candidate. Describe why you think you would be a good fit for the company.

In either event, come prepared with your thinking cap. You may be asked to answer a question designed to elicit your creativity or personality. I was on a group interview which asked this question: If you could be any animal, what would it be, and why. An answer to this kind of question is designed to assess what kind of employee you might be. Answer carefully but thoughtfully, and try to pick an example which will show your strengths.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Amazing Tips About How to Answer Job Interview Questions

  • Smart casual is slacks, nice dress shirt, and dress shoes. Nothing too fancy. Google interview tips and don't worry about the group interview thing. It's really not a big deal. If they want you, they'll pick you, if not, they won't. What's the worst that could happen?

  • The only "Home Fundraising" I can find is a British operation and the job involves knocking on people's doors begging for donations. Not a job I would ever want to do

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to a job interview?

I have a job interview for an office position in a dentist office and I'm not sure what to wear. I have black business capri style pants but I'm having problems with the shirt. I have a green 3/4 length shirt and a cami with a button down. What should I wear?

Is Your Body Secretly Sabotaging Your Job Interviews?

Recommended Answer:
The black pants " if they are full length" and a blouse may be a better choice. Capris are casual wear not suited for interviews. Be conservative on the jewelry and perfume. Do wear a watch if you have one. For shoes, try a closed toe, low heel pump with tan or skin tone hose (knee hi or pantyhose). Try to learn something about the dentists and their practice before you go. Arrive on time and be confident in yourself and you will do fine.

Good luck on your job search.

Job Interview Tips to Employment Success

  • Don't wear the capris. They are too casual for a job interview. I would wear the black pants and either the button down without the cami or the green shirt. Be sure to tuck in your shirt tail.

If you have a white shirt (not a top), wear it with the black pants. Black bottom, white top are classic.

Wear black shoes with the combination, and not too much jewelry. A pair of earrings, a small pendant and a watch are about all you want to wear.

  • Dress for success. Don't wear the capri pants. Too casual for an interview.

Go for a skirt, blouse, and jacket or a skirt with a twin set.

  • A rain jacket, a skirt, and some sandals. Wear a beret as well.
