I am extremely nervous about a job interview I have tomorrow. I have never worked a single day in my life, ever & I've never had an interview. The is a more important job interview because it's government office, not a restaurant or dept. store. I have no clue what questions will be asked, what I should say, or anything. Also I'm wearing khakis with a white button up with sleeves rolled up?

The Secret To Job Interview Success

Recommended Answer:
You definitely should wear a suit. Dress shirts (not rolled up), dress shoes, ties, etc. You should look professional. Don't be late to interview. Eye contact and hand shake well. Be confident but not over confident. Be prepared to talk about your strength/weakness, skills, something like that.
After interview, make sure to send Thank you letter to interviewer.

Illegal Job Interview Questions and How to Handle Them

  • Just relax and do your best tell them how willing you are to learn and work hard and that you will always give it a hundred percent. I wouldn't wear Khakis with a button up sleeves rolled up, you want to wear something nice and professional and look very well presentable. A good pair of pants and a nice dressy shirt always looks professional. Best of all make sure you are on time to show your future employer that you value the opportunity you are being given good luck hope you get it. :)

  • Self confident is very important. Treat every interview as if it were the only one you will ever get with that company and your only opportunity to convince them that you are the best candidate for the position. You need to interview. Not the actual interview, but a practice interview or mock interview. It is an opportunity to practice your interviewing technique and answers in a live simulation. It is also a chance to hear constructive feedback from someone who can guide you toward improving your interviewing style and presentation.

Dressing is also important for interview success, suggest to wear a suit with a jacket and skirt or slacks; no dresses, shoes with conservative heels, keep your makeup simple and natural (it should not be too noticeable).

Last but not least, You are a special person. You know it. Your mom knows it. Your dad knows it. Your siblings know it (but probably will not admit it). But unless you convince the interviewer of your special talents and abilities, you will fade into that great dark abyss of Interviews Lost..

    Good Luck !!!

  • just stay enthused
