Job Interview Questions: How would you answer these job interview questions?

I had a few that caught me off guard.

1. If there was a problem and you did not know the exact impact. What would you do?

2. If our company had a VIP visitor that will affect the company great deal, what would you tell the personnels to do? All personnels including the janitors, finance and everyone in the company.

3. If your supervisor gives you an order but the higher ranking superior gives you a conflicting order, what would you?

Recommended Answer:

I'D OFFER EVERYONE A COCA-COLA, That always seems to bring peace of mind.

2. If our company had a VIP visitor that will affect the company great deal, what would you tell the personnels to do? All personnels including the janitors, finance and everyone in the company.

KISS ***

3. If your supervisor gives you an order but the higher ranking superior gives you a conflicting order, what would you?

I'd tell the higher ranking superior "Listen, my boss told me what to do, you go tell my boss to tell me to do it your way, but, it aint getting done anyother way unless you go through the chain of command where at the end of deferral I may chose to do it that way or quit".

Finishing and Leaving Your Job Interview

  • 1. I would ask the proper person to assist me in the situation.
    2. I would alert all personel of the visit and remind them to follow all company policies and ensure all areas are up to par before the visit occurs.
    3. I would let my immediate supervisor know what the sr super has told me so they are aware of the change, before I do anything, so that if there is a problem, the supervisors can work the issues out.

  • answer for #3: You should inform your supervisor that the higher ranking superior has given you a conflicting order. In case your supervisor has strong justification, he/she will go and discuss it with the higher superior and convince him/her but if your supervisor has weak justification, he/she will ask you to follow what higher superior asked you.

  • Ah! You had a stressed based interview. The concept of the interview is there is no right answer. It's more about how you kept your wits about you in the interview.
