Job Interview Questions: What Kind of Questions do they Ask at a Job Interview?

Like what do they say, what questions do they ask you, like how old you are, birthday, and other stuff like that. So what questions, like above do they ask you?

Job Interview Tips - 5 Essentials to Do the Day Before the Interview

    Recommended Answer:
You'll be asked to give examples of when you've worked effectively as part of a team / as an individual. You'll be asked how you have improved on an existing process to make it better. You'll be asked to give an example of where you've dealt with a difficult colleague or customer.

There are lots of questions they may ask you, and I'm guessing if this is your first job you'll be working in retail or a customer service role right? If the answer is yes, expect them to ask all of the above.

The key to passing the interview is to be calm, be confident and be very friendly and likable.. If they like the positive vibes you give off, the job will be yours.

Google a website called Business Balls if you want specific examples of questions and good answers to them, and ask a senior family member or teacher to help you prepare. It's ok that you havent had a job before cos everyone has to start somewhere.

Smile and be confident, and you'll own the interview.
    Good luck!

A Guide To Common Job Interview Questions And Answers

    • .

The most important focus of an interviewer is about what you can contribute to the company based on your work ethics, attitude, experience and education. They may ask you what qualifies you for the job. How can you contribute to this organization? What is your previous experience that suits you for this job? How well do you work with others and how will you relate to clients/customers? They may ask you what your strengths and weaknesses are. They may ask you where yous see yourself in two to five years.

    • Chances are they won't give much thought to your birthday. The questions will be geared more toward the job you are interviewing for. Case in point, what in your experience makes you believe that you are qualified for this position? You state on your resume that you've done "this" before, do you think that it qualified you to do "that"? If you were hired for this position and a situation like "such and such" came up, how would you handle that? You stated that when you worked for so-and-so doing such-and-such, how do you believe that will help you if your job duties include x-y-z? These type of job specifics are more like what they will ask you. If you've made it to the interview stage, they'll be asking a lot more than what your birthday is.

    • they will ask questions that will qualify you for the position if you answer them in a suiting way

Job Interview Questions: I forgot to write a thank-you letter for a job interview. Will this hurt me?

I had my first job interview (recently graduated from college) and it went great. However, I forgot the part where my prof. told us that we need to send a thank-you letter after the interview. Am I screwed? Or do most people forget to do this?

Will What You Wear for a Job Interview Help You Pass the 2 Minute Test?

      Recommended Answer:
I went thru a two week class on stuff like this. You always leave or send a thank you note. If the interview wasn't that long ago, go back to the office and personally leave a note with the secretary (not the HR person) to fix the mistake. It can not hurt--it can only help.

Edt: 2 weeks ago, yes I think it is probably to late. It depends on when the job closes out/the hiring date is, he might have picked someone already. Also it showed that you didn't know protocol by leaving the note in the first place. If you do not get this job, always keep pre-made thank you notes in your briefcase when you are interviewing. As you walk out of the HR office, go right back to the waiting area. Fill in his/her name, put in a quick personnel note about what just happened so that they know it wasn't a generic already filled out TY note "Oh that was funny Mr. Jensen when you said my hometown was to small for cows" or "I loved your office and its Egyptian decor, my uncle visited Egypt once and loved it". Give that note right to the secretary. Wala, you are done and the note is good to go. And get nice high quality notes from Hallmark. Not cheap ones. Think professional. Nice white, professional, maybe gold trim, generic, TY notes.

Act professional, be professional, think professional, and they will think you are the cats meow!

But, if you really want this job what can a .50 cent thank you note cost you? I would send one in anyway.

Well I wouldn't mind, but some people might and they could get a bad first impression...but thats not everyone, it kind of depends on what kind of person thats interveiwing you is. :)

Job Interviews: Effective Question And Answer Strategies

      • As a former interviewer for both male and female positions I say leave the black nail polish for Halloween. Treat the interview professionally, no mater what the business or position. Same goes for guys and girls, take out the excess jewelry too. If you get the job then you can slowly add to your need for attention.

      • Yes I think it's perfectly fine to wear black nail polish, as long as it's not chipping off or something, especially since it's for a trendy clothing store. Black nail polish is very stylish and chic so it could possibly help you if you are also wearing a trendy outfit that goes with it.

        Answer mine please?:)

        answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…

      • Since you're interviewing at a 'trendy clothing store', I don't see why not. Make sure you put color along with your outfit, though. Make something really cute and impressionable, and not.... blah. Clothing stores don't need boring employees.

      • I didn't know black nail polish could be tasteful.
But honestly, I think that you should just remove it now, and once you get hired, continue with your tastuful dark nails. I doubt there's any policy against black nail polish. That's racist.

      • presumably you mean shop assistant or sales girl, it is best not to appear quirky until they get to know you , you will find out what is acceptable appearance after you get the job, unless it is a goth specialist shop

      • I say take it off. It's better to be safe than sorry. It would really stink to not get a job just for your nail polish color but hey you never know what people are thinking during job interviews! Besides you can always just put it on again afterwards :]

      • Unless it's Hot Topic, no. Black nail polish may come off as unprofessional. I recommend not to wear any nail polish to the interview.

      • When you say sales associate.... Do you mean retail or something trendy? If your answer is yes to either of these, then I would say Yes. Other wise you may want to think twice.

      • Wear gloves to the interview. No one will see your black nail polish.

      • Why chance it. Something simple like that could turn an employer off.

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear for my job interview tomorrow at Party City?

I have a job interview tomorrow at Party City and was wondering what do you think I should wear? I have slacks and a button up short sleeve, collared shirt that I thought of wearing, but I think that would be over dressed. What would be good for this type of job? Thanks in advance for the advice.

What is Your Worst Job Interview Weakness?

      Recommended Answer:
There is no such thing as over dressed. Unless you show up to Mc Donalds in a tux.
I would wear slacks, and probably a long sleeve shirt it looks more professional.
Employers want to know that you're taking the job seriously, especially in these times were they can pick and choose. You have to try your hardest to get a crap job these days.

But good luck at your interview, knock em dead.

9 Most Common Job Interview Questions and Answers

      • Many peeps get stuck when they are attempting to decide what to wear at an interview. Personally I'm from the old school, I am of the opinion that formal wear is never wrong; you can get some guidance from the website in the box below, they also have a lot of info on job searching.

      • That is not being overdressed. You are dressing for success. Look sharp and smart, it always makes a good first impression.

Prepare quesions like How wii your experiences so far help you in this position, why should I hire you, tell me about yourself.

      • Nice jeans or khakis and a nice top. What you want to wear is fine too. Based on these two options which are both appropriate, I would wear whichever you are more comfortable in so that you will be more relaxed and present a better image of yourself!
        Good luck!

      • No it is not overdressed. A guy needs a tie. A girl needs a jacket. Out of respect for the person interviewing you, you dress properly
