Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview as a receptionist today!! Gah what do I wear?

I have an interview today for a receptionist position. What should I wear? I mean-dont say dressy casual. Should I wear jeans and a nice top? A skirt? A dress?

Do Not wear jeans.
It would all depend what kind of receptionist job it was.. but you want to dress up and look your best.
A skirt and a nice top. Or dress. Good shoes. Prim and neat.

Since you will be the first person that clients or customers see at this company-they want to see that person NOW.
You will be the first impression that people have of their business.
Before you leave, look in the mirror and say
" what would I think of a company and I walked in the door and the receptionist looked like this ?" If youre happy with it..then wear it.

With jobs, even if youre applying to be the cleaning lady, always dress up, if you want the job.
You want it to appear youre putting your best effort into this.

• You can wear jeans if they're dark wash and fitted, then they should be classy looking. A nice blouse that doesn't have any excessive cleavage and make sure it's slightly more loose than the width of your hips (but is fit)
  And a causal cardigan over top. and wear either ballet flats or heels.
  Or you can wear a pencil skirt, high waisted belt, nice blouse that kinda puffs at chest and a a simple cardigan over top. Gladiator heels would go nicely with this outfit.

• It's a job interview for a receptionist, and most jobs like that they expect you to dress nicely. DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT EVER wear jeans to an interview. Wear a nice pair of black/dress pants and a nice top.

• Go for a hint of formal, not too much though. Wear a blouse, with a pair of black trousers, or those pencil skirt (whatever they're called)...
