do they always drug test for a job ....if they do is it on the spot like rite ther the day of the interview..or do they giv u a notice..i smoke marijuana ...wats a way to get clean fasst ..n i mean really fast like a coulple of days

5 Job Interview Answers to Avoid

Recommended Answer:
marijuana is fat soluable so theres nothing you can do. if it was water soluable it would be gone in a few days but id recommend job at a local fast food chain or something that requires little to no skill.

Don't Blow Your Job Interview

  • They do. Same day, drink gallons of water, add good deal of salt, plenty of multivitamins.

  • Yes most companies will drug test you, and on the spot! They send you to go get the drug test, then you have to turn in the results in a timely fashion, if you don't they know you are hiding something. Most companies now a days also test for cleansers, or anything to hide anything in your system! The best, fastest, and most reliable way to have a clean drug test is to...NOT USE DRUGS!!!

  • Keep looking for a job, because it takes a long time to test clean with weed.
Not only that, but, what happens when they surprise test you, on the job?
    God bless.

Job Interview Questions: Job interview at Papa Murphys?

I have a job interview for Papa Murphys pizza tomorrow and I am just wondering what questions I should ask the interviewer. Also, what outfit is appropriate to wear? I was considering black skinny jeans with a low heeled black boot and a white dressy T shirt. I have never been on an interview before so any advice would be helpful, especially if you work at Papa Murphys. Thank you!

Job Interview Questions: For a job interview at a clothing store...better to wear the store's clothes or dress professionally?

A job at a store similar to pacsun/west 49/zumez...I'm a girl.

also, do I need to bring another resume and cover letter to the interview. The manager already recieved them through email..but do I need to bring extras.

How to Prepare for a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
I would dress professional

Job Interview Skills - How To Answer Job Interview Questions

  • Dress professionally, like you give a damn about them giving you the job. You don't have to go the whole way but smart trousers (not jeans) and a shirt would be a safe option. And yes it's always a good idea to bring a copy of your resume and the cover letter, so at least you can refer to these if there are any problems.
    Good luck!

  • dress like Lady Gaga

  • stores clothes for sure. they dont expect u to be professsional because lets be real here its freaking pac sun

  • I think you should wear the store's clothing because I have a friend who works at Hollister, and he was telling me that when I go to the interview to wear Hollister clothes and act happy and all that other good stuff. So I would wear their clothing to the Interview. Plus when you get the job, you're going to have to wear their clothes, so you should wear them there so that they see that you're taking the affirmative. :)

Job Interview Questions: Need help with upcoming job interview?

Okay so in a week i have an interview with Macys. Truth is I need a job because I have a loan to finish paying off as well my sick dogs' medical costs.

I was wondering what type of questions they are going to ask me?
And how can I answer these questions truthfully if I was just filling out applications to every place I could think of?

Thanks for your help!

5 Steps to a Great Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
They will ask you basic questions...

Here are the top 5 interview questions you can expect to hear:

1) Tell me about yourself.

From my experiences, the interview question, “Tell me about yourself”, is one of the top interview questions asked and one of the most commonly feared. The best way to get over your fears with this question is to have a personal branding statement already committed to memory before the interview. A personal branding statement explains who you are, what strengths you bring to the position and what benefits previous employers have gained because of your employment. Below is a good example of a personal branding statement.

Example Answer: I am experienced in search engine optimization, especially strong in social bookmarking and link backing.

2) What is your greatest strength?

This is a good interview question that allows you shine by telling the job interviewer what important ability you have that will help you succeed if hired for the position.

Example Answer: I consider myself an excellent problem solver as I am able to analyze a client's needs and develop a successful strategy to meet those needs.

3) What is your greatest weakness?

This interview question is also another feared question. It makes total sense that people don't want to answer this question. Why would someone want to answer a question that reflects negatively on them? To answer a question like this you'll have to use this simple strategy: Turn a negative into a positive.

Example Answer: I used to have a tough time using Microsoft Excel. I spoke with my manager and my manager came up with a strategy that would help me become competent using Microsoft Excel, while at the same time not interfering with my daily duties. Within 3 months, I was able to learn how to use Microsoft Excel a lot better and became the “go to guy” for it.

4) What do you know about our company?

This is the time you need to do your homework. Make sure you spend some time doing research about the hiring company before the interview. You will want to know company's current condition in their marketplace. You will also want to know how the company makes its money. One suggestion is to write facts and other key company information on a 4'by 6' index card so that you can study the information before the interview.

5) Why do you want to work for the company?

This interview question allows the interviewer to find out if you are serious about the position and not just applying to the job because there is a job opening. By conducting research about the company before the interview, you can provide to the interviewer key advantages that you feel will help you in your career that the company has to offer.

Example Answer: “I want to work for XYZ Company because I feel that since this company is constantly increasing its product line, that there will be a good chance for advancement into a product manager position.”

Good Luck...

Job Interview Practice - You've Done Your Interview Prep, Now What's the Best Way to Practice?

  • Just tell the truth. So what if you have filed 5000 job applications. In fact that's good. That says that you really want to go to work and know how hard it is to find a job.

But also, tell them that you lov Macy's, you love fashion, kitchen appliances, and even the cheap jewlry they sell, although you have applied at Burger King, for you, working at Macy's would be a dream come true like working a Buckingham Palace, and blah blah blah

Tell them about the sick doggie too - the interviewer might be a dog (or animal) lover.

Job Interview Questions: What is appropriate causal dress for a job interview?

I have a 2nd interview on Wed for a job. During the first interview I wore a dress shirt, dress pants, and a tie. When I was called to come back for a 2nd interview, the lady said that I could come casual. What would be appropriate casual dress for an interview? A dress shirt and jeans? A dress shirt and khakis? Or should I just continue with the dress shirt, dress pants, and tie?

Some Questions Astute Interviewers May Ask During the Job Interview Process

Recommended Answer:
I would also recommend going with tan pants and a nice shirt. It can be a dress shirt or a solid colored polo style shirt. While they did say that casual was okay for the second job interview, it is still usually a good idea to not wear jeans. Good luck!

Job Interview Skills - How To Answer Job Interview Questions

  • When going to an interview its better to be over dressed than too casual. You want to show your possible future employer that u want the job and while the lady did say to dress casual, don't take it too far and wear jeans. Jeans are a big no-no.
I suggest you wear dress pants with maybe a long sleeve button down shirt or even a nice polo. Khakis could work too. Also make sure your finger nails are nice and clean and that are your clothing is not wrinkled, You wouldnt believe how picky some employers can be!
I Hope this helped, Good luck!!

  • She may have told you to dress casually because the dress code for the job is "business casual" and she wants to see what you think is appropriate to wear to work. Khakis and an oxford shirt or nice polo shirt would probably be appropriate. Don't show up for the second interview in jeans unless the job is yard work.

  • You don't necessarily have to wear a dress shirt; any nice, long-sleeved collared shirt should be fine, as long as its in a subdued color/pattern. Khakis would be perfect.

    Jeans are a "no".

  • Absolutely go more casual. But don't wear jeans. Khakis and a nice casual shirt like a polo. Wear a belt and make sure everything is clean and not wrinkled.

  • Don't continue with what you have been doing. Go with slacks/khakis and a dress shirt. Maybe pair it with a sweater over, if you have one. Don't wear a tie.

  • I think it is better over dressed than casual, not jeans,Khakis should be ok.good luck!

  • Many peeps get stuck when they are aiming to decide what to wear at an interview. Personally I'm from the old school, I believe that formal wear is never wrong; you can get some instruction from the site in the box below, they also have lots of advice on job searching.

  • Well the nicer you look, the more they see you are interested. Just don't overdo it. Yes, you are right. I'd wear something casual. Not too formal. It's good to tuck in your shirt no matter where you apply. A dress shirt, dress pants, and belt. A suite jacket might be a little too much. A tie would be good as well. That's my advise.

  • where jeans a black butten up shirt dont tuck it in

  • Suit and tie

    Recommended Answer:
Clean shirt under a sports coat always looks good. No tie. Since you didn't specify the job I assumed it wasn't an executive level position- which would require a suit and tie. In an case dress in clean, pressed subdued colors and shine you shoes. Be cheerleader but not silly. Don't volunteer more than the question asks for. Express you interest in the job before you leave and, if possible don't discuss salary until the second interview.
