First of all I write the questions I think they'll say and I write an answer on paper. If you write it down you can use big words and its easier to memorize. Second the most difficult question that they always tend to ask is when they say "So so and so, tell me about yourself" that's when you sell yourself. In one paragraph how can you make yourself awesome. I think about my personality and how I like my job and I'll say some thing like"Well I enjoy working in a fast paced environment, I am organized both at home and at work and I love to challenge myself." So it kinda paints a picture of my personality and strong points. Another tough question is the "what are your strengths and weaknesses" I find it easier to have your weakness compliment your strength. I.E. my strength is I like to set goals and push myself. My weakness is I beat myself up when I don't achieve them. So it doesn't seem too bad. They're gonna ask you questions like "what was a time when you needed to solve a problem" and "what did you like best and least about these jobs" "what is something you did really well" and "what is something you did not so well" brainstorm and think of anything from work, scchool, bor volunteer work. And above all DON'T LIE! Dress nice, smilebcheerfully, and keep your hands in your lap. And make eye contact... if that intimidates you like it does me look between their eyes when nerves. That's all my wisdom... hope it helps. ]ood luck!

Job Interview Questions: Job interview at Mcdonalds tomorrow?

I already have a proper attire for the interview, but I'm a little nervous because I don't have a resume or any letters of recommendation or anything. The only job experience I have is when I was volunteering at my schools bistro which was run by my culinary arts class which is why I don't feel like I should make a resume. Should I bring a portfolio with anything in it other then a resume? Any other tips are appreciated, thanks.

For McDonalds you don't need a resume or letters of rec. You'd look kinda silly bringing those in. Maybe it's different at every establishment, but at my McDonalds, I got the impression that if you got called for an interview, you got the job (unless you acted like a jerk).

        Hello,

The truth is, they really don't care what your weaknesses are. They care about how you handle the question and what your response indicates about you.

The trick to answering this question is to identify a new skill you're learning or planning to develop — something that is only a "weakness" because you haven't yet mastered it.

        I hope this helps :-)

Ooh, I'm used to always be very nervous during job interviews! I felt like they were judging me!

What I did was I told myself to calm down over and over. Just think, the interviewer certainly won't want to hire a nervous wreck!

If you get dry mouth, just be glad you won't be spitting when you talk. LOL.

It also helps to practice talking to someone, maybe an older brother or your parent.

In the end, just remind yourself that even if you don't get the job you atleast know what to expect in the next interview!

          World's Best Job Interview Tips

          • This is very common. There are a couple of things you can do. First of all, convince yourself that this job is not really that important. You can take it or leave it. Realize that the interviewer is also a bit nervous. He/She has never met you before either. Speak in a friendly calming tone to them as you would any other person that you have just met. There is a tendency for you to want to fill in the spaces of silence in the conversation with, as you said, repeating the same words over again. Do not try to keep the conversation going. Just sit there quietly and wait for the interviewer to ask another question. Then answer with a short accurate reply. Realize that the person is just another human with the same thoughts and feelings that you have. They also had to go through a nerve wracking interview like you are to get their job.

          • This is completely normal. Take some deep breaths, let the interviewer know that you are nervous, some times admitting your fear makes it seem less. Tell yourself, "This is the job for me" and "No fear"
Just stop and think before you answer the questions, and try to be a calm on the outside as possible.
Remember, the interviewer might be as nervous as you!
            Good Luck!

          • go in there with the attitude that you already have the job, this is just a formality. think of the interviewer as a friend, and treat them like one. remind yourself it isn't the end of the world if you don't get the job. have lots of candy or breath mints on hand, and make sure to offer one to the person giving the interview... don't know why this seems to break the ice but it does. call them by their first name, helps to think of them as a friend. share something silly and personal when you're shaking their hand.... like "i was almost late getting here because i was so nervous i forgot to put my socks on!"

          • Is this REALLY a mental health question? Almost everybody is nervous during a job interview.

          • Just be yourself and just chill the night before - maybe in front of the television. Try positive thinking like 'I can do this .'

          • Have a beer in the parking lot before the interview.

          • Masturbate. It'll reduce the stress.

          • God can help you live a better life if you want Him to help you. You can have a personal relationship with God by saying the prayer below. God is our Creator, all-knowing, all-powerful, eternal, holy, love. God loves us and sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, so we can go to heaven if we know and follow Him. Forever means without end -- time on and on without death. Forever is what happens after we die. Either we go to heaven and be with God forever, or we go to hell which is very bad and painful forever. The good people who are saved believers in Jesus Christ go to heaven. The bad people go to hell. We need to know and follow God in this world to get to heaven in the next world. We follow God by loving and obeying Him and loving others for Him. Jesus Christ, God's Son, is our bridge to God. Jesus died on the cross to cancel our sins. We need to accept Jesus into our life as our Lord and Savior forever to receive God's blessing and forgiveness plus go to heaven to be with God forever after we die. This is about being a born-again Christian. Faith in God is a gift from God. You can pray for faith in God. Just speak out and ask God for the faith to believe in Him and to follow Him. Some people find faith in God when they realize the beauty in the world is made by God. Evolution can't explain the world's natural beauty, for example, the parks in the world, animals, flowers, peacocks, sunsets, butterflies, rainbows, etc. After you have your faith on, you can pray a sinner's prayer to be a born-again Christian. This prayer is very important and should be said with a sincere heart and faith in God. This is the prayer: "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that Jesus Christ is the sacrifice for our sins. I have done the following sins (state these out) and I pray to discontinue these sins. I pray to receive Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior forever. In Jesus' name, amen." You could find a good Christian church and try a weekly Bible study group with them to learn more. You can pray to God about your daily life.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear to a job interview on casual Friday?

I have a job interview, on Friday, for a company that I already work for. For casual Fridays, I usual wear jeans and a nice top. Would it be inappropriate to wear that to a job interview? Should I take an extra set of clothes? Your advice is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Wear what you would normally wear to an interview. There is never a casual Friday when interviewing for jobs!

Job Interview Training For Managers - Will's Story

          • Wear work clothes. A suit, or whatever you wear to an interview normally. That is absolutely standard advice for anyone interviewing "in-house". You are on equal footing with all the other candidates -- you must be as smart as they are -- be held to the same standards of professionalism. You can't assume an air of familiarity with company casual Friday policy just because you work there. Remember to behave all throughout the interview just as you would as if you were interviewing at another company. Being a local candidate confers neither benefits nor disadvantages. They can't treat you any better than anyone else, but equally they must take you as seriously. And to do that, you must present as seriously. So wear a suit. I would wear nice pants and a nice top, then keep the jacket separately and don it for the interview. Best of luck!

          • You know if I were you, I would wear black pants, white classic shirt and a black vest on top.
