Job Interview Feedback - Rare and Priceless

Recommended Answer:
The best answer to a question you have no clue about is "I don't know". Trust me, they're not looking to hire someone who knows everything there is to know. I already have a job. (Just kidding, of course - but everyone gets asked questions they can't answer. As long as you're honest, and you know enough to do the job, you'll do fine. Don't try to fake them out, though - they'll know.)

Job Interview Questions: How can I get ready for a job interview?

I have to fill out a job application tomorrow. And need to get ready for the interview. I been to interviews
before. But never landed the job. This job I am getting interviewed for is at a Family christian book store. I really want this job.

The Top Ten Mistakes Made in Job Interviews and How to Avoid Them

    Recommended Answer:
wear very light makeup. Dress simple. Let's say genes with a plain top that does not reveal body. Go to the book store and see how those working there are dressed.

How to Survive a Heart-Pounding Job Interview

    • Just be prepared to answer questions, like why do you want to work here, why should I hire you, what are your qualifications. A christian bookstore, thats easy, just be friendly.

    • I've been to many interviews along with many rejections. I suggest just be confident with yourself and don't forget to eye contact (which shows your confidence). It takes so much effort and preparation to even get through the interview. (Now I know after so many rejections and disappointments).

I went to a website called www.perfectinterview.com, where they give you sets of interview questions as a clip and you can practice.

Know your strengths and skills you can provide and how you used it before in your previous work experiences.

But the key factor is CONFIDENCE and EYE CONTACT. Show them you are a people-person.

    PLEASE HELP !

Some Questions Astute Interviewers May Ask During the Job Interview Process

    Recommended Answer:
Same slacks are okay, get a different shirt if you can. Gap or Express often has nice dress shirts on sale for $20 or less.

Second interviews are good. Second interviews mean that you got past the first round of eliminations, and they want to know more about you to make sure you're a good fit. Just being courteous and respectful, having good manners, and showing a sincere interest in the job will get you a long way.

At this point, they will probably ask you if you have any questions. Come up with some intelligent questions beforehand, ones that don't involve pay or vacations. Ask practical questions and questions that make you look like a hard worker. Also be prepared to answer why you want to work for them or why you feel you would be a good addition to their team. It's okay to talk yourself up a bit, just don't be arrogant. Take credit for your accomplishments, but be specific and literal instead of overly descriptive (e.g. "Under my leadership, the soccer team made it to the semifinals for the first time in school history," not "I am amazing at leading people, it's a real talent, everyone wants to be on my team because I always win"). Bring extra copies of your resume and any other relevant documents, even if you think they won't need them.

Finally, don't make any appointments later that day; they might put you right to work! Good luck!

Job Interview Questions: Very confused after job interview please help?

Went on job interview and was told I scored very high and did very well but came in #2. If I did so well and scored so high why didn't I get the job? At the end of the conversation I was asked if I was testing or interviewing anywhere else and then was told again I did very well and scored high. What's up?

How to Answer Common Job Interview Questions

      Recommended Answer:
I can tell you for sure what is going on since I interviewed many people. When I had one position to fill and did have two condidates that suits to it. I did the same. I choose one person to fill the position and go on for testing period. However this condidate may not well pass this testing period and that's why I better make sure that the second one will be available. So I cannot guarantee it... I can say that he is very good (and he really is) and ask whether he is taking some interviews somewhere else... That's that situation as it looks like... :))))))))))))

Keys to a Successful Job Interview

      • someone scored higher than you, so obviously they would pursue that person before you. however they asked if you were applying anywhere else because if that person doesnt work out then you would be a good choice for the job. being second in this case doesnt mean you lose, it just means someone else got the job but you are just as qualified and would be just as much of an asset. good job for scoring so well!

Job Interview Questions: What Should I Wear to a Job Interview at Forever 21?

I am an 18 year old female and I have a job interview at the clothing store Forever 21. I know I should wear something from their store but I am not sure what. I was thinking a pencil dress but am worried that may be too dressy. So my question is what should I wear. I just need a general idea. Thanks

      The Essential Job Interview Checklist

      Recommended Answer:
Everyone's been in situations where they had to go on interviews, but I've had supervisory positions in the past where I had to interview potential employees. Those that showed up neat and clean were taken more seriously than those that showed up in dirty t-shirts and booty shorts.

I think wearing something from the store is an excellent idea. If you can find something that is particularly flattering on you, this can definitely work in your favor since as an employee you will be representing the store. Often customers when they spot a particularly cute outfit on a clerk will even ask if the clerk bought it at that store. How cool would it be to be able to say, "Yes, I did. And it comes in all these colors!" Since this is an interview, you do want to be dressier than usual. It tells the potential employer that you are professional and take the interview (and work) seriously. Make sure your hair and skin are well groomed, but don't wear a lot of scent since so many people are sensitive to perfumes. Any jewelry you choose can be young and trendy, but make sure you limit it to a couple of pieces that aren't so distracting that the interviewer can't concentrate on your personality because the bling is blinding them. Once you are hired, you can dress according to company policy and practices. Often you can be more casual, but go for dressy when you interview.

What Do You Do at a Job Interview?

      • Interview questions can be hard, everyone wants to learn what questions will be asked - or indeed what questions to ask - but there is no straight answer. I had an interview in recent times and I unearthed some excellent instruction from the site in the box below, to do with interview questions. They also have some things about job hunting and career choice.

      • Something hip but nice.
