Job Interview Feedback - Rare and Priceless

Recommended Answer:
The best answer to a question you have no clue about is "I don't know". Trust me, they're not looking to hire someone who knows everything there is to know. I already have a job. (Just kidding, of course - but everyone gets asked questions they can't answer. As long as you're honest, and you know enough to do the job, you'll do fine. Don't try to fake them out, though - they'll know.)

Job Interview Questions: Shave the goatee or not for a job interview?

I'm sporting a goatee these days at my regular job and am now hunting down a second job. Should I shave it to do interviews?

Your Next Job Interview - Are You Prepared?

    Recommended Answer:
If it's gonna be a minimum wage job, I wouldn't worry to much about it. If it's anything above a minimum wage job, or a job that requires you to dress up at work, then shave it.

For example, I wouldn't mind wearing a goatee to a Burger King interview, but I wouldn't wear one to an interview for a bank.

10 Job Interview Tips That Will Help You Make a Good Impression

    • I think it would depend on the job or business you're in. Some professions have unwritten rules on what is acceptable so a goatee might be beneficial in some cases, maybe in creative work.

I'd advise you to shave it though. You would come across as more open. Not "hiding behind anything", so to speak.

Besides, it would take you all of 10 days to grow it back anyway.

Job Interview Questions: Job interview and asked me for a curriculum vitae?

I just graduated from high school and I applied for a job at a coffee shop (holly's). My interview is tomorrow and they asked me to bring a curriculum vitae but I don't have one. What do I do?

That is the British phrase meaning "resume". It is actually Latin. Write out you job experience and education. Hand it over. Don't spend more than 10 minutes on it.

Job Interview Tips For You-Five Tips To Instantly Increase Your Success Rate

    • Your curriculum vitae is like a resume, but jacked up on steroids. From latin, it means "The course of my life." It is a more in-depth resume (which I would suggest you bring, also).

It is kind of an in-depth education information sheet. Instead of the simple abbreviated form (the resume) with basic info, like where you want to school, your GPA, and the dates, you'd also add things like specific classes, awards, etc.

For a coffee shop, I'd bring a resume and maybe make a simple curriculum vitae from templates found on google. You obviously don't have a ton of life experience or college, but you have some from high school that could be useful. Don't worry if you don't have a four page CV-- fresh out of high school, you might barely get to two.

Google/Yahoo a search for a curriculum vitae, and use the links I've provided to help you. I admit, I've never made one, but I've made a couple of fairly detailed resumes that could count as CVs when asked.

    • It is a list of classes you have taken. See if your school can provide your transcripts.

Job Interview Questions: In a job interview, when the person giving the interview asks if I have any questions, what should I ask?

For a job interview at Starbucks. What type of question should I ask them that would be ok? I was thinking about asking them about how training works but I thought that might be wrong to ask if I don't even know I'm getting the job. I really just don't know what to ask, any ideas?

Which of These Job Interview Problems Would You Like to End?

    Recommended Answer:
Within reason, the more questions you have, the more prepared and interested you will appear. As long as you dont have an hour long query list of course. Personally, my 1st question would be regarding shift rotation. How many hrs, who my colleagues would be, exactly what was required of me, that kind of thing. Also, yeah I think it's fine to ask about the training. Afterall, if you get the job, you don't want to be going in blind to what the job description entails. Good luck! :)

    • You can ask about the people you would be working with, if hired. You can ask "what aspects of the training program do you think are most critical to the company". You can ask, if hired, what would you most like to see in my performance.

Don't ask: How many breaks will I get; when is my lunch hour, when is vacation, etc.

Further, it is very important you let the interviewer know that you definitely want the job. If you didn't do that, follow up with a phone call.

    • I actually think it is a really good idea to ask questions during a job interview. It shows that you were paying attention (especially if your questions build off something that was mentioned in the interview). Moreover, it shows that you are genuinely excited about the job (which is always good).

If you are curious about the training, ask about it. I think it is a great question to ask. The one thing you don't want to do is ask way too many questions or common sense questions (the ones you should already know the answers too).

Good luck at your job interview.

    • ask him what kind of coffee he wants ya know your working at starbucks

    Hi there,

I found out I have an interview for a job at a college, and it also includes giving a 10 minute presentation on promoting the program that you will be running (the position at hand) to college instructors.

There was no mention if any visual aids, powerpoint, etc. could be used.

What do you think would be most effective?

Job Interview Questions: Very confused after job interview please help?

Went on job interview and was told I scored very high and did very well but came in #2. If I did so well and scored so high why didn't I get the job? At the end of the conversation I was asked if I was testing or interviewing anywhere else and then was told again I did very well and scored high. What's up?

How to Answer Common Job Interview Questions

      Recommended Answer:
I can tell you for sure what is going on since I interviewed many people. When I had one position to fill and did have two condidates that suits to it. I did the same. I choose one person to fill the position and go on for testing period. However this condidate may not well pass this testing period and that's why I better make sure that the second one will be available. So I cannot guarantee it... I can say that he is very good (and he really is) and ask whether he is taking some interviews somewhere else... That's that situation as it looks like... :))))))))))))

Keys to a Successful Job Interview

      • someone scored higher than you, so obviously they would pursue that person before you. however they asked if you were applying anywhere else because if that person doesnt work out then you would be a good choice for the job. being second in this case doesnt mean you lose, it just means someone else got the job but you are just as qualified and would be just as much of an asset. good job for scoring so well!

Job Interview Questions: The whole Job Interview Process seems to be getting more difficult?

There is a new law now that says no one can (Smoke) in public places, Im wondering who do I contact, to speak a piece of my mind about Job Interviews? Im hoping I can change things with the Interview process with time. Who do I speak to? Government? President? who?

Why Being Interviewed First Can Mean "Last" in a Job Interview

      Recommended Answer:
You don't say how smoking is relevant to the job interview process. Under a democratic government, a company is allowed to operate its recruitment procedures in any way it chooses. Only a dictatorship would impose laws restricting companies in this way

Preparing For a Job Interview - Minimize Job Interview Stress

      • There is no law that you can change regarding an interview process.
Its up to the potential employer to set its own process to ensure that they get the right person for the job. Some are better at it than others but your right some are ridiculous.
The only thing you can do is write to the employer afterwards and state what you think they can do better.
