Job Interview Questions: Shave the goatee or not for a job interview?

I'm sporting a goatee these days at my regular job and am now hunting down a second job. Should I shave it to do interviews?

If it's gonna be a minimum wage job, I wouldn't worry to much about it. If it's anything above a minimum wage job, or a job that requires you to dress up at work, then shave it.

For example, I wouldn't mind wearing a goatee to a Burger King interview, but I wouldn't wear one to an interview for a bank.

• I think it would depend on the job or business you're in. Some professions have unwritten rules on what is acceptable so a goatee might be beneficial in some cases, maybe in creative work.
  
  I'd advise you to shave it though. You would come across as more open. Not "hiding behind anything", so to speak.
  
  Besides, it would take you all of 10 days to grow it back anyway.
