5 Job Interview Tips

  • Khaki pants and a nicely pressed button-up shirt. Button all the buttons except the top one. Tuck in the shirt, and wear a fresh looking belt. Loafers, not sneakers.

Don't get there more than 10 minutes early.

Be confident, but not cocky. Don't BS them--if you don't know something, tell them that you don't know, but you are a good learner or that you know how to research the answer or something like that.

Don't be afraid to brag on your abilities--that's what you are supposed to do in a job interview. Just don't sound cocky or like you are better than them. You are there to tell them why they should hire you instead of someone else.

Eye contact, be pleasant, good firm handshake.

Do not ask about salary until after you are offered a job. At the end of the interview, ask them when you can expect a decision. Then thank them and leave.

Immediately go home and either email or mail them a thank you note, and tell them that you look forward to hearing from them.

You will be in my prayers.

  • Just go naked who cares
