Job Interview Questions: If someone ask you in a job interview the following.....?

if someone ask you in a job interview the following.....'' describe you management style'' what would you answer? please only serious answers

Job Interview Success - How to Go After Your Dream Job

Recommended Answer:
Have you watched the Apprentice? 1. Play to people's strengths. E.g. If a task needs organisational skills & technical skills, give the former to the person who is a good organiser & the latter to someone with the technical skills. 2. Treat people differently - some people respond best to being treated in a certain manner.

Job Interview Preparation - Three Key Steps

  • What interviewers are normally looking for when they ask questions like this is whether or not you are a hands on manager or a more laid-back, flexible manager. I've been asked questions about the different styles of managers that I've had and how I have dealt with them. Managerial styles I have worked for/with are the following:
-1) One was very specific in the product they received and the process by which is got there. What I mean by this is that they gave a task, and gave specific instructions on what they wanted of the task, and how that task should be done. This is usually referred to as micro-managing. Basically, this type of manager is someone who does not delegate well, and leaves their employees with very little flexibility. While this leads to a very consistent and usually high quality product (i.e. the task is usually done correctly), it tends to be very inefficient (manager spends too much time standing over the employees) and often creates a more unhappy work environment.

    2) The other form of management is a more laid back manager, who gives a little bit more trusts to their employees in how they get a task done. While they still expect a higher quality product/result, they give their employees a little more flexibility in how they get it done. This should lead to better productivity from your employees (happier = higher productivity),however the "product" of the task may vary. However, this is usually a better method for managers as they tend to be much less stressed out. They are also spending less time micro-managing and thus can get much more done themselves. This style of management generally comes from experience.

    Hope this helps!

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview? i need some advice?

I have a job interview at a nursing home as a CNA, it is my first job. does anyone know what kind of questions they will ask or what they might expect. i am very nervous. someone please help.

Preparation is the Best Job Interview Tip

Recommended Answer:
The fact that the Nursing Home has selected you for an Interview is proof that they consider you a good prospect for employment.
Find out as much as you can about the Nursing Home
The name the Matron
The category of patient they have.
What a Nursing Assistants duties might be
How many patients they have
and whether any of them have any mobility issues

If they ask you to define your "role" (as you see it) then you are:

"Maintaining an environment conducive to professional care, welfare and quality of life for the patients."

If they ask you where you see yourself in say 5 years time

"By then I hope to have some qualifications and perhaps graduate to a more professional role within the Nursing Home.

The Interviewer might say -
Whilst carrying out your normal duties you observe that one of the patients is acting a little odd and completely out of character - What would you do?

"I would report the incident to my Supervisor and also make a brief written report which I would submit to either the Matron or my Supervisor depending on being sure that I am following the Rules on Reporting Procedures".

Be professional and smartly dressed and be sure to provide open rather than closed answers, in other words try not to answer a question with a "Yes or a "no" try to give a little information.
I am sure you will do fine.
Good luck on the day.

Job Interviews - Six Blunders to Avoid

  • You will be asked about your training and experience. You may be asked some "what would you do if....?" questions. Just take your time, take a deep breath, and then answer each question one at a time. Remember, the interviewer wants to like you. He/ She wants to hire you because they were smart enough to ask you in for an interview. The interviewer wants to be proven right for asking you to come for the interview by offering you the job.

  • Be professional, this includes dressing appropriately and speaking eloquently. Be calm, if you're nervous, it will show through and in a field like Nursing - there's no room for nerves (unless you count the neurological system, LOL). Be confident, if you're confident in yourself, your air of confidence will show through, and you'll impress the interviewer with your cool aura. Above all else, as cheesy as it sounds, be yourself. Good luck!

  • just show some cleavage

I would wear a dark polo shirt, with some dark pants, khaki or some dark jeans.

That way its formal but still casual.

  • You can go with a dress shirt with a tie and dress pants, but, yeah, I think a full suit would be too much. You could do a sportcoat if you have one.

Job Interview Questions: Help!! I got a job interview for an upscale, high-class restaurant as a bus person, but...?

I'll be leaving for school in about 3 weeks (the university is about 4 hours from here, btw). The job interview is in two days, and I was just wondering.. what are the chances of me being hired? I really wouldn't mind working holidays/seasonal or anything. But chances are..? Maybe they'll give me a chance to set a good example and possibly keep me on schedule for when I come home from school?

Job Interviews Should Be As Easy As Trying on a Pair of Shoes

Recommended Answer:
I don't want to sound mean, but the truth is they won't hire you so essentially you are wasting your time and their time. You are going to have to tell them that you're leaving in 3 weeks and heading to college away-- employers don't really look too highly on that unless you were working for them months in advance, and then they could arrange a seasonal or holiday work shift for you. But this economy still isn't great, and employers are trying to maximize their budgets by hiring people who are going to be worth their time. Someone who is going away to college isn't someone the want to hire-- they'd rather hire someone who will stay in the area, and chances are that's who the new employee will be.

For future reference, the best time to search for a summer job is in late March to early April, BEFORE school gets out. This way, you could start working in May and by the time it's August, you will have worked for a couple months and are more likely to have a fill-in seasonal job.

Can I Really Get That Job? - How To Survive a Job Interview - Part 1

  • All you can do is try..... good luck to you.. they may need someone part time.. and then that will give them a chance to see how you do and when you return home for another trip and will be home a week or longer...so they may need you as a "fill in" for short staff .. and it will give you something to put on a resume, and gain experience...good luck!

  • No, you won't get hired. I'm sorry to sound negative, but it would just be a waste of money and time. They need to hire someone who can stay longer than three weeks. It costs a company more money and time to hire two people than to hire one.

Almost all people get nervous when they have to face an interview. So, it's a natural thing. Don't worry too much about it. Take it naturally. Try some relaxation techniques to help with your nervousness. You can listen to music to divert yourself away from unnecessary worrying, watch funny movies and laugh out loud, or use breathing exercises. Take long deep natural breathe to calm yourself and keep your emotions/nervousness under control. This will help you lifelong in long run with your nervousness and for your emotional stability.

Be on time for the interview. A litter earlier is better. Don't be late at interview. As you've said talking politely and dressing up neat and clean are necessary to create a first impression. You can take a copy of your CV and application (if possible). Have a firm handshake when introduced to interviewer. Try to maintain eye contact during the interview. Job Interview Questions: Do you always have to wear a suit to a professional job interview?

i have a few job interviews this week, and i was wondering if it is always necessary to dress in a suit. i have a few, but i feel that i look nicer in a cardigan/sweater with a nice undershirt. i really would be happy if i got either one of these jobs and want to look my best. just wondering other peoples thoughts?

Self-Speaking Lies About Job Interviews

Recommended Answer:
Yes.

(a) You always want to dress up -- meaning that you want to be more conservative, traditional, and formal than the standard dress of the worker already working at the company. You are much more likely to offend an interviewer by being too causal (which is a sign of disrespect) than too formal.

(b) Some professions business management, finance, & accounting are conservative by nature. A suit is always the rule. Other professions design, marketing, fashion, & the arts are less so. However, you should always do advance scouting to see how employees and managers dress at the company before dressing to your personal standard of "best" rather than the business standard.

Job Interview Questions: What should I ask in a kennel assistant job interview?

Later this week I have an interview at a vet clinic for a kennel assistant position. My weakest area in interviews is having questions to ask the employer, and since I REALLY want this job I want to come as close as I can to nailing this. Any ideas of some relevant questions I can ask when I get asked "do you have any questions?"

Job Interviews Should Be As Easy As Trying on a Pair of Shoes

Recommended Answer:
research the position, see what's involved and try to ask about it. Try to ask about the clinic, the kind of clientèle etc. pay attention to the interview and see if you can ask about certain points you may need more about. don't ask about pay etc.

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to my first job interview?

Hey, I was e-mailed for a job interview at Brightview Senior Living to e held on Thursday. This will be my first interview I ever attend, I'm only 14. But idk what to wear. I don't feel it to be necessary to wear my suit and get all dressed up. It's also summer time, and it will be hot. Any clues for what I should wear? What I should do at the interview?

Five Tips on How to Prepare for a Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
I think you don't need to be dressed-up because it's kind of like a casual job, if you dress up too much, they might think you're over dressed for this one interview. I personally think you shouldn't go over the top. You should try wearing smart shoes, with smart trousers and a T-shirt.

    Simple.

How to Prepare for Your Sales Job Interview

    • This really depends on the specific job your interviewing for.

If it is a kitchen/laundry/lawn care position - a nice pair of jeans and a collared shirt, nice shoes (never wear dirty old sneakers).

If it is a job that puts you in front of potential clients or family members than the suit would be appropriate. Wear a short sleeved shirt, don't put the jacket on until you get out of the car, a tie or not, I would recommend a tie. Dress to impress.

The interview is your opportunity to show this person(s) that you are the one for the job. You take it seriously. This may prove to be a long term job, with room for future advancement. Make your first impression count and be lasting.

Good luck, remember to breathe, try to relax as much as possible. Be yourself (but not too relaxed), be as honest as you can.

    • Hello, I'm fourteen as well but I have an excellent taste in clothes, here are some of my suggestions:

      1. If you want to look creative but should be taken seriously, I would wear a burgundy dress shirt, plain black sports coat and leave it open.

      2. If you want to look like a kiss-***, wear a sued front-shirt with a sky blue dress shirt and possibly some beige khakis.

      3. You could just be yourself, but try not to look very raggedy, that just shows lack of effort.

    • A clown suit.

No, but seriously, dress for the job you want. Business casual (slacks, collared shirt, matching shoes + belt) would work fine, but a suit may show a lot of drive and determination - especially on a 14 year old. Just make sure the suit fits well - you don't want it to be wearing you.

    • A business suit is ideal for most interview, and it shows you are serious. A dress shirt and tie [if you are male] or some other form of dressy attire is as appropriate, but you should definitely be dressed up.

    • clothes of course. you might want to wear normal attire, you hethens now and days dont know how to dress properly, go with normal clothes. At the Interview you should definately not use the word "old".

    • Always overdress to the style of the people who work there. You generally cannot be too overdressed for your interview, ie. too formal. However, try to match what the people who work there would wear in general.

    • I would keep it professional yet casual, Try a trendy pair of denim jeans with a long button up dress shirt, with the sleeves rolled up to your elbows, and tucked in your pants of course.

    • wear slacks a nice shirt not to fancy just enought to give an impression and nice shoes.

Job Interview Questions: Job interview with another candidate at the same meeting - how do I handle this?

I have a job interview next week with another candidate, my competition, also at the same meeting. I'm looking for any tips or suggestions of how to handle this situation.

It's a lunch interview, which itself isn't that unusual, but I have never, ever heard of having 2 candidates interview together for the same position.

I'm guessing it's more of a test of each of our personalities and how we deal with stressful situations than it is anything else.

Because this is such a unique type of interview, any advice about it would be greatly appreciated.

Nifty Tips For Winning a Job Interview - A Must Look

    Recommended Answer:
Be very gracious to your "competition" and listen attentively to all conversations. This type interview isn't unusual at all for sales jobs. They are seeing how you do in cold call situations that are very undefined.

    • Are you sure there aren't two positions available?
I'm a HR Consultant working with clients in size from 5 employees to 25000 employees.
I have never heard of having two candidates attend the same session, if there is only one position available. I don't know what the reasoning would be, your guess is as good as any.

This is my advice: remember, recruitment is a two-way analysis. You get to interview the company as much as they get to interview them. If it appears a fiasco, it probably is a fiasco. Unless you have to take he job because you don't have other options and need something = more on.
