Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to my job interview?

I am a 15 year old female. Interviewing at a specialty grocery store called Dorothy Lane Market.. it is very high class and fancy. What should I wear? It is supposed to be 90 degrees out tomorrow where I live do I don't want to wear something too hot. Thank you.

Job Interview Success Checklist

Recommended Answer:
Always dress for success. Don't try to impress them with clothes your friends might think are fun. Best bet: Look to see what your potential co workers are wearing as they work, and try to mimic that as close as you can. Blouse & cackies? Black & button shirt? When in doubt: business suit / Sunday best.

Be One with the Market. The Force is strong with this one.

The Top 5 Tips to Mastering a Job Interview

  • black slacks and a white button up shirt.
    it never fails.

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to my first job interview?

I applied at a local diner to be a busboy. If it matters the dress code for waiters and busboys at the diner is black dress pants and shoes, a white dress shirt and a black tie. I am 14 and a guy.

How to Prepare for a Successful Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Dress business casual. Wear nice dress pants, dress shoes, a clean button-down shirt (full-length sleeves, not short) and a tie. You always want to dress a step up than what you will be wearing on the job, though in this case I would say dressing around the same grade of the job would be appropriate.

Job Interview Questions: Should I go to this job interview?

The career counselor at school had refered 2 jobs interviews previously for me (the job is teacher's aide), and l was rejected both times. She said there is another interview in a few weeks, and I don't know if l should go again, if l got rejected for the 3rd time, that counselor will think l am a complete loser and probably think there is something really wrong w/ me. I am still debating whether l should go or not. I simply don't want to further embarrass myself.

Job Interview Issues - How To Dress To Match The Interview

Recommended Answer:
It's best to go for the interview as, who knows, you might be 3rd time lucky. Fact is, the teaching job scene has seen a lot of ups and downs over the past 2 years.

My sister-in-law appeared for 7 teaching job interviews before she landed a part-time teaching position. She started as a teacher aide herself and is now being considered for a full-time position.

I Landed a Job Interview: Should I Stop My Job Search?

  • A career counselor is there to help students, go do your interview, never turn down an opportunity when it's handed to you, if you get it, you get it. if you don't get it, it would have been an experience for you to learn from, the more interviews you do, the more you become comfortable with the process; if you do not get the position, talk to the counselor about the actual interview, there maybe something you are not doing quiet right, interviewing is a a process that you need to prepare for, it involves before, during and after the interview, so do not take it personally if you do not go through this time either, but you should not turn it down. Good luck :)

  • I really feel that you should go because when you peruse something that you really want you present your self as ambicious, responsible and a go getter. And it will show your counselor why she should continue to refer you to interviews. Because you really want this...right?

  • i know how you feel, u feel your wasting your time. Maybe you are i don;t know. How far do you have to travel for this interview woudl be the dealbreaker for me.

Job Interview Questions: Did i do terrible on my job interview?

i just got back from my first job interview. i was very nervous and i feel like i blew it. i kept repeating the same things over, like they would ask about my good qualities and then why they should hire me and what makes me stand out from other people and i just kept saying the same things over again each time, and on other questions i would just say "i'm not really sure how to answer that", or "i don't know, this is difficult" but at the beginning of the interview i told them i was nervous, and throughout it we were kinda laughing and joking, so i don't know?

A few days after I moved out, I got the call from them to set up an interview and I forgot to mention my change of address. Should I address it in my thank you letter? Thanks in advance!

The Secret To Job Interview Success

      Recommended Answer:
Since you're still a minor, you're only allowed to work a certain number of hours per day and per week as required by law. I don't know what state you live in, but there are different laws pertaining to minors in the workforce for each state (you might want to look into it). If the hours you mentioned are the only hours you CAN work, then yes, tell whoever interviews you that. It's possible you might not get the job based on availability, so sometimes it's better to be flexible. Hopefully they like you enough where you can make a schedule that works for you...good luck!

Job Interview Preparation - Ease the Stress of Interviewing

        Recommended Answer:
You do better to say how your previous job didnt fit what you were looking for. Let them know how the position that you are interviewing for matches your goals and how excited you are to becoming part of their team. You come across all types of people in business, sorry you had a bad experience with your last job but dont start pointing fingers/bashing your former supervisor in an interview, it's unprofessional and reflects badly on you. If you were the interviewer, would you want to hire someone like that?

Tips For Facing a Job Interview

        • Yes, it will make you look like you can't cope and that you are a problem employee. "Unfortunately, it just wasn't a good match for my skill set and personality. I have had such wonderful experiences with this company and heard great things about working for you/them that I think that this would be a much better fit." If they push it, you can always say how you do incredibly well under pressure and with most kinds of management, but that you didn't mesh with their management style. This doesn't make you look whiny or like you are blaming anyone.

Job Interview Questions: Where is my job interview for payless shoe source?

I have a job interview Thursday at 1:00 PM

I asked him where is the interview

and he said that it is at Fairlane Mall LOL

So is my interview inside payless?

If so what to say when I go in payless?

Nifty Tips For Winning a Job Interview - A Must Look

        Recommended Answer:
Yes, you should meet the manager at Payless in the Fairlane mall. Show up 30 minutes early so you're not rushed for time getting there or finding the store in the mall. About 12:50 introduce yourself and say you have an interview. Whoever you speak to will get the manager to meet you.

Look for some basic interview questions on the internet and practice in front of friends or family before the actual interview. Why do you want to work at Payless? What past experience do you have that qualifies you for this position? Why would you make a great addition to the Payless team? What are some positive things others would say about you?
