Job Interview Questions: I was told that I would be getting a call back sometime late last week or early this week after job interview?

And it is Tuesday and I have yet to receive a call. Can I call them back? If I do what should I say? It's only for a part time job at the mall, so it's not some huge career thing, but I need a job!!! Thanks a lot!

5 Job Interview Answers to Avoid

Recommended Answer:
Just give them a call, let them know you put in an application and would like to know the status. Ask directly for the Human Resources (HR) dept, they will usually call you back.

How to Follow Up After a Job Interview: Recommendations on What to Say After an Interview

  • Call them or go in person.
This happened to me last year.
They called and said they would be calling me for an interview later in the week.
I'd call and they would say someone would call me back.
I called a few times, same thing.
I should have just gone in but I didn't have gas to be on a goose chase when I needed a job.

  • You can always wait a little longer, if they don't call back you can call and just say you had an interview and they have yet to call you back. Or you can e-mail them with the questions?

Why do you want to work at the zoo? They want to hear some positives. Don't just say that you just want a job. Talk about your love of animals, how your parents brought you there when you were a kid. Mention that you always wanted to work there. Show enthusiasm! Good Luck!

Job Interview Questions: Job interview tomorrow for oncampus tutoring?

I'm interviewing for some on-campus tutoring tomorrow and was hoping for some pointers. I've never interviewed for any job before, but I feel like this might be a little different than interviewing for McDonald's or Wal-Mart (possibly not as formal?). Anyway, what should I be prepared for? What should I bring? I don't have a way to print out my resume, but they already have my application. Is that okay? Can I wear sneakers with khaki pants and a button down or should I wear dress shoes? What do ya'll think?

The Values That You Should Have in a Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
    Hi Johny,

Sounds like a life guard position,i guess..

Just be calm and show that you really interested to the job like simply tell the interviewer that you love defence and security,Since the job not like most jobs, it is kind of public defence or any sort of protective agency.Other things you must be prepared to do some research of the agency at least the achievement it has contributed and then show your eagerness to be part of them.

Other than that of course you should prepared you stamina too.Probably they test you sort of physical test first, after pass that test only then they interview you.Last,be punctual.

    Ok until then,Good luck!

No Time To Prepare For The Job Interview?

    • Focus your questions about the job you are interviewing for. Don't ask too much about things like benefits and when they will be making a decision about the position - those are sort of mundane questions. What you want to do is be able to follow up on your question with something to reinforce how good a fit you are for the position.

For instance, if you ask "What are the possible career ladders that this position may open up within your organization?" (It implies that you want to be there a long time) and, whatever the answer is, you can say "I'm very excited by this field and hope to be able to use this position to grow within my career."

      Hope that helps!

Job Interview Questions: Is it bad if a job interview only last 7 minutes?

Just had an inteview at Family Video. It lasted 7 minutes and he said he would call to let me know if "we're going to go any farther". (you have to pass a test after your interview and before you get the job, but he didn't say he was gonna have me take the test). Should i mail in a follow up letter?

If it lasted only 7 mins...not positive but don't think its a good thing. If u have an email address or the mailing address send them a thank you note and list in 1-2 lines why u think ur the best fit for the job. Keep the letter short sweet simple and to the point.
    Good luck

    • Yes, it doesn't seem the good sign that they didn't talk about the test. However, what you can do is now send them the email and informing them all the situations that you were interviewed there, now what about the test?

    • It can't hurt to follow up, but a 7 minute interview is pretty short. Not a good sign.

    • Yes they dont want u ... sorry keep looking

The 60 Second Resume Job Interview Strategy!

    Recommended Answer:
Alright, no matter what type of job it is you should always dress up. Wear flats or short heels closed toe. Dress pants are a must :) Collar shirt, or a nice dress shirt with a suit jacket over it...

    What NOT to wear:
shorts, skirts, jeans, high heels, open toed shoes, tank tops, big jewelry, tons of make up..

How to stay calm.. take deep breaths, don't chew gum, don't bring too many things with you (nothing to play with), also take a couple seconds to think out your answer before answering and be honest. Good luck :)

Job Interview Questions: What are some questions that you will definitely be asked in a job interview?

I came back from a terrible job interview so I'm assuming that I'm not gonna be hired at that job. I forgot some questions that the interviewer asked me because the only thing that I was thinking about the entire time was how bad I messed up by being so nervous. I need some questions to get myself prepared for whenever my next interview takes place.

Job Interview Questions to Ask Potential Employers - The Do's & Don'ts

        Recommended Answer:
In this economy, you need to be thinking outside the box when it comes to jobs. Adults as old as their 70s, who lost their retirement savings because of the financial scandals, are now working jobs previously done by teens, as are younger adults trying to support families

In trying to find a job, you have to look beyond working in a store, a burger joint, some other area that does not require experience and/or expertise.

One needs to think about what tasks that need to be done, but people hate doing, and are willing to pay someone else to do.

One needs to think about starting their own business to set your own hours, without the problems of needing for a work permit, being too young, and not having the needed experience.

This article talks about one such area in which a Denver (CO) woman quit her upper management job to do, earning her over $75,000 a year, working outside, setting her own hours, and can be done using a bicycle as transportation. It is also something a child or teen can be doing with an unemployed parent.

light on the jewelery (i.e., studs not hoops).
