This is a clothe store called platos closet and its a clothe store no clue how to dress help I'm kinda of a rocker so skinny jeans and what else?

The Job Interview - Basic Strategies and Tactics

Recommended Answer:
The type of store does not matter. You will need to dress nice so you cannot wear skinny jeans. You should wear and skirt and blouse, or slacks and blouse.

Question To Ask At A Job Interview-5 Of The Best Questions!

  • It doesn't matter what type of clothing store... all interviews are to be conducted with the applicant in dress attire. This means a skirt and blouse or dress with nylon stockings, and dress shoes. This is your first impression to make for the manager, and it is a way of saying, I respect you being the boss and thanks for taking the time to interview me. (^_^)
btw... yes, I do know that Plato's Closet is a store that deals in purchasing and selling gently used clothing! The dress code will be revealed to you once you are hired, but for now it's professionalism all the way!
Go get 'em... you've got this! IT will be a very, fun, job for you! )^_^) )^_^)

Job Interview Questions: Should I bring my criminal record to a job interview?

I have no criminal record and I completed this criminal background check at www.criminalsearches.com. Should I print that and take it with me? My interview is at babies R Us.

How to Face a Job Interview Successfully

Recommended Answer:
They will do their own, they will not be interested in seeing one you printed up.

Will You Be Ready For Your Next Job Interview?

  • No. I see your logic, but why have that conversation? If they require a background check, they have a procedure to do it. Let them follow their protocol.

  • No. They are not going to accept your document, which could be altered. They will do their own background check.

  • Take it just so you're prepared if they ask for it.

Job Interview Questions: Average time to wait for a job offer after an interview?

About a week and a half ago I had a job interview for a "team member" position at caribou coffee. I thought that it went pretty well but I still haven't gotten a response. Do you think that I should give this one up and apply for a different job, or is there still hope for a reply?
Thanks!

What To Do And Not To Do In A Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
I don't know if I would send a thank you letter now (like someone mentioned above). It has been a week. Those should be sent right away. You never know, you might still get the job. Some companies schedule either a few days or few weeks of job interviews. So I personally won't say “no you aren't going to get the job,” but I wouldn't count on it either.

Start applying for more jobs again; have a backup plan just in case.

Good luck!

Job Interview Preparation - The Tips & Tricks You Need to Know

  • It depends. Give it a week, no sooner, no less. But, make SURE to send a thank you note - they didn't have to interview. And it shows your good nature and that the job is important to you . Never overlook this detail!

After a week, send a brief, polite, non-pushy email to the person you have been corresponding with to set up the interview and ask them what the status is and that you are "still very interested" in the job:)

    Hope this helps!

  • One overlooked thing that most job seekers over look is the follow up. It is so simple to drop a little post card or letter that thanks your potential employer for the interview. I guarantee 90% of your competition did not do this. Do you think this would separate you from the rest that may be applying for the same job. You have to be a bit different. You have to be remembered when you are competing for a job in today's market.

I would even take it a step further and ad a little humor. Attach a coffee bean to your card and write something like "I've BEAN thinking of our interview" Thanks Again for the opportunity.

    Dare to be different.

  • It's possible they are lazy and slow so they maybe interviewed people for a full week and require another week to decide. If you don't hear back after 2 weeks have passed, i would certainly give up.

But still.. they should have found someone by now, so i would say the odds of you getting the job are not very good.

  • Hi! As a professional chef and graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts I recommend always to follow-up immediately with a thank you letter. Thanking the employer for taking time to interview you. After that I would give them the end of the week before I would do a personal follow-up. In other words? Go there now! Its been too long!! lol I hope this helped. Good luck!

  • For a "team member" position at a coffee place, it shouldn't take more than a few days. Sorry.

  • ring them up and ask them - that wya they will know you are still interested

they may have interviewed a few applicants who were quite good

keep applying for jobs in the meantime though

  • Less than one week

Job Interview Questions: Did this job interview go well?

I recently had an interview for subway over the weekend, and it was my first job interview ever. I think it went well, but I am still nervous to wether or not I will get the call.

At the end of the interview he shook my hand and said "Well, you seem like a very nice and outgoing person. We will call you within two days, by tuesday, and if not then make sure to call us."

Do all interviewers say this, or is there a good chance I might have gotten the job?

Job Interview Guide - Some Tips to Ace Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
you have a great chance at getting the job.....I hope you get it.

Preparing to Answer Job Interview Questions

  • The fact that you were not offered the job at the end of the interview suggests that the interviewer has not chosen anyone yet for the job. He most likely had other people to interview for the position. You may or may not get the job. You should not stop looking for a job until you get a job offer.

  • very good sign. don't forget to follow up with a thank you note for the interview

  • I'd say 80%+ you'll get the job. Professionals who interview potential recruits won't just waste time with you. Especially if he's saying he will call you back in a few days and then tell you to call them. Make sure you follow-up, although not all jobs require you to do so in order to get accepted. It never hurts to make every possible effort to make sure you got the job. It shows you have determination and the fact that you really want the job.

Considering that it's a job at subways, the interview won't require as much detail as a white-collar job where they would ask you your preferred salary and check-reference your college GPA with previous employers.

Don't get your hopes up, but be confident. Don't second guess it. What have you got to lose? Because let's say for some reason you don't get the job, there will be other opportunities. I personally think you have a good chance. Although "nice" isn't what everyone looks for, the outgoing personality defines everything most employers seek in recruiting employees. It means you will definitely communicate well with customers. It means you are more upbeat and optimistic than pessimistic and a defeatist.

If you don't get the call on Tuesday, or it's Tuesday afternoon, give them a call. And if for some reason you screw up, don't beat yourself over it. It's your first job interview ever. You should take pride that you made it through without having a panic attack in the middle of the interview. I've seen it happen. If you got such a response, you should be fine. If you DO get the job, make sure to stay positive and confident. Work hard too.

I hope you get the job and do well. Make lots of money while you can. Good luck.

Job Interview Questions: What do I wear for a job interview?

Okay so it's not really a job interview buut, i applied to be part of my school yearbook's staff and they sent me a note today saying they want to interview me & to dress professional because it'll be like a real job interview. But I've never been to an interview before & i'm not quite sure of how to dress "professional" ..i'm only 14. So what should i wear? I have an idea of something but i'm not sure...suggestions? also, if you include a picture i will love you!haha. thanks :)

Job Interview Mistakes to Avoid

Recommended Answer:
It's nice you're putting a lot of thought into your clothes! Well, if they want you to be professional, dress professional. Ha ha I don't mean business suit or anything, but something nice if you want to be in your school's yearbook. I would do leggings, flats, denim skirt, and a floral blouse or T-shirt. No worries, if you don't have one or more of these things, you can get them at this cheap but nice looking store:

Job Interviewing - Say This, Don't Say That - Part 1

  • Wear a skirt or pair of slacks (not jeans) and a blouse, button down shirt, or nice sweater. Oh, and don't wear sneakers, flip flops, or excessively high heels. Do a quick google image search for "womens' business casual"- anything that pops up there will be acceptable.

  • Since your a girl, I would wear dress pants and a dress blouse. A skirt may be too much. They are just helping you practice for the real thing so doing what they tell you would be ideal. Dress shoes with a little heel is fine. High heels once again is too much. I am an HR recruiter for the Real Canadian Superstore and I interview people. Dressing professionally is something I look for in an individual. It shows me they take pride in their appearance.

Job Interview Questions: What should I do or don't do at my job interview tomorrow?

Please help! I really want this job, it's at Clark's Shoe Store. Any tips or suggestions as to what I should or shouldn't say or do in my interview?

Job Interview Advice - Impress the Interviewer and Get the Job

Recommended Answer:
Just slow down and relax and try to have a conversation with the person to show that you are outgoing and show them that you take initiative and you take pride in being competitive and that you want to be working there and do not sound unprepared with "uh" or "like" or laughing for no apparent reason and sit up straight and lean in when they ask a question and you will appear to be interested and focused

The Secret To Job Interview Success

  • Firstly allow plenty of time to arrive and settle in about 5 Min's before the interview is a good time to arrive, Introduce your self and explain your purpose of visit for example '' good morning / afternoon my name is ********* and i have an interview at *********''. if you don't know who your interviewer is then skip to the time. or you could just say '' good morning / afternoon I have an interview at ****''

    Remember to great your interviewer with a smile and shake their hand if they extend it first ! en route to the interview room they may give you a pep talk and ask some questions such as '' did you find us ok ? '' so even if you had to take 3 buses and got lost 4 times, just say you found everything ok. as if you start moaning it can leave an impression on the interviewer. its sneaky but most companies are during the hiring process. If there are two interviewers then one will be asking questions and one will be observing your body language and your responses. this is another sneaky way of doing it but it helps them to see you from all angles. if there is just one then your fine but don't let your guard down ;) ok now to the tricky part what you will be asked;

each interviewer has their own technique but the general questions are mostly the same.

    a typical interview will have the following structure;

    Icebreakers-

these are to settle you in but don't let your guard down and say something you know you shouldn't, so be vigilant at all times. The types of questions may include hobbies etc but try to relate them to the job your applying for, for example '' I am in the school netball team and this allows me to understand teamwork and the benefit of it to achieve a single goal'' Company

This section is a little more tricky and you have to think about your answers but one major flaw most people make is not to fully understand the question being asked so if your not sure feel free to ask the interview to repeat the question. this type of question may be '' why do you want to work for us ?'' or ''what skills do you think you could bring to the team?'' etc just be honest and try to keep your answers to the point ( you don't need to use fancy words, just tell them the main point) It also helps is you have done your research!

    Experience

this is just where you include qualifications or experience , they may ask what tasks you have done in previous jobs. they will also ask if you have any pre booked holiday with your current employer and how much notice you are required to give to your current employer.

    Situation Questions

ok now these questions are very sneaky most big companies use them but some smaller ones may also. now the trick to getting these questions right is to fully understand them as i mentioned before. for example '' its a busy day and the manager gives you a task to complete, after 30 minutes your assistant manager asks you to do another task, but you have not finished the task set by the manager. what would you do ?'' this is not the question you will be asked but its to give you an idea of situation questions. the best way to answer is to put your self in the situation and think how you would react.

just remember this is assessing how you react in situations so just think on your feet.

ok if you get through all of this they will then start talking about the job and tasks in entails. they will also chat about uniform and pay and also when you will be told when you will receive your results from the interview some may tell you on the day or ring you or send you a letter this process can take anything from a few hours for a phone call to 14 days dependent on the number of applicants.

then when the interview is over be sure to shake the hand of your interviewer, tell them how lovely it was to meet them and thank them for taking the time to see you. ( its cheesy but it can make a big difference ;) ) I hope this information is a help to you
    Good Luck ;)

  • Just be normal and like say Thanks ,Yup i got it when they ask soemthing
Don't just come in and sit down, stand and wait until they said you can sit down. Then say Thanks.
Don't ask them question just answer they question And it will be ok
The rest depend on you -.0

And go to there before 10 mins so they don't have to wait for you. They will think you are always on time

    Good luck getting that Job

    Cheer

  • Dress well. Hair neat, light on the makeup, no jewelry, no perfume. Shake hands and introduce yourself. No giggling, answer all question verbally. First question they ask is "Why do you Want to work here".. Answer "I have a great sense of fashion and know I can do well in assisting people to find exactly what they need and want" A little BS goes a long way

Job Interview Help - Some Things That Might Help You Ace Your Job Interview

  • No, as an employer it does get rather annoying for people to call back within the first two weeks. However if it has been longer then to weeks you can make a call back and just say Hi, this is so and so I was wondering if you had any questions regarding my resume. That makes the employer feel less threatened and it makes you look a lot more patient.

  • u should call back 3 to 7 days after the interveiw to see if u can touch base.. call now bfore its too late. bc if u call it means u wanat the job

Job Interview Questions: Possibly a dumb question about my job interview?

so I have a job interview on Monday at a fast-food/restaurant place, am I suppose to just walk into that fast-food/restaurant and then ask around about where my job interview is? I know it sounds stupid, but I guess I just wanna confirm I am doing the right thing.

A Guide to Preparing For Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Arrive early. It will give you extra time to take a deep breath and relax. I agree with the advice to go to the place where you normally order and tell the "order taker" that you have an appointment for a job interview. Whoever you approach will be very understanding as they too went to that same counter at some point and did the very same thing. The employees are used to people coming in for interviews. Good luck. Be enthusiastic and respectful.

Job Interview Skills: How to Manage a Bad Interview!

  • Walk in and go to where you usually make your order and just be like "Hi, I'm here for a 6:00 interview." And they'll show you from there.

    Don't sweat it!

    Good luck!

  • "Hi, I'm here for a job interview"

*Points you towards the back.* It's over there.

  • Yes. Just walk in and say you're here for your interview.

Job Interview Questions: What do you wear for a job interview?

I am 16 and about to go to an interview for a job for a yogurt shop. What am I suppose to wear to this job interview that won't make me look too old and classy yet at the same time not a lazy snobby teenager. Also do you have an advice on what to say during the interview?

A Job Interview Without Cold Sweats

Recommended Answer:
I always wear red to my interviews and 90-percent of the time I ended up getting the jobs. There were many people way more qualified than me but I guess I was more ... rememberable in the interviewers' eyes due to the intense color of the outfits. It is also said that you should wear red to courts or to give speeches. So to sum it up, wear red!

During the interview let the interviewer lead the way. Only talk politely when asked to. And whatever his/her opinions on certain things are just nod along with a nice smile.

You're 16 so I guess the main concern that the interviewer probably has is reliability (I helped my mom interview teenage waitresses for her restaurant.) They probably will ask if you have reliable transportation or not. If you don't have your own car you'd probably have to go an extra mile to persuade them someone will give you rides to work and that you'll be on time every time.

Always tell them that you really enjoy school (even if you don't) to show you're a positive person. Tell them you have a lot of friends who love yogurt (he/she will like you more because if they hire you they'll be able to attract a big crowd of your friends. More money for them.)

Just be yourself and you'll do just fine. Good luck !

A Job Interview Guide for Starters

  • I usually determine what I will wear to interviews based on what employees wear. Go by the store and take a look at what employees are wearing. If they are in t-shirt and jeans or cotton shirt uniforms, then wear dark jeans with no rips or holes with a clean shirt or sweater (not T-shirt) and closed toe shoes. If they are in dress pants and collared shirts, then you should dress up a little.

Job Interview Questions: I just passed the job interview, the result that i passed and going to sign off tomorrow, what does that mean?

I just passed the job interview, the result that i passed and going to sign off tomorrow, what does that mean?
I'm a Technical Support Representative Applicant.

Do You Need Job Interview Coaching?

Recommended Answer:
If you passed the interview and you are going to "sign off", then what that means (and what it has meant for me in past jobs) is that you will come in for one day before you start working, and just sign all of the paperwork, tax forms, benefits, job contract, rules of the job, etc.

Congrats on the job, and good luck with it!

Job Interview Questions: What should I expect at a job interview?

I have a job interview tomorrow at my local movie theater. I've never had a job interview before so I'm kind of nervous. What should I wear? What type of questions would I expect to be asked? Please help!

The Comic Tragedy of Job Interviews

    Recommended Answer:
I think you should wear something a level above casual, nice pants and a shirt.

The questions are the manager's way of trying to figure out how well you'd fit there, how serious are you about wanting to work there. He/she would probably be asking you about items from your past to get an idea - do you finish things that you start, can you be depended upon, do you have common sense, do you work well with others? People remember stories, so if you can now think of several examples that would demonstrate the above traits or other things you have identified as important you'll remember them tomorrow and be able to give examples to back up your claims - much more impressive to an interviewer. If you know someone that works there and you've talked to that person about what it's like to work there - I'd be sure to mention that, because that shows some thought and research went in to your applying there. If you really want to work there, find a way to communicate that and why you do during your interview. I think it means a lot when the candidate shows genuine enthusiasm for the company and/or the position during the interview.

The most important piece of advice is to try to be yourself.

    Good luck!

A Job Interview and the Ultimate Language Tool to Guarantee the Job Offer

    • Depending who the person is, can quite vary with answers. However what you should know is employers are not your friend and the first impression counts.

      - Answers fully to their questions
      - Dress nicely
      - Expect them to have a snotty attitude towards you, as they want to see what your reaction/tone of voice will be.
      - They WILL interview you in a public area! This increase the pressure as well as they want to see how well you can concentrate under pressure.

      They will ask:
      What is on your resume
      To explain your resume
      To explain job history
      Asking for references
They possibly might ask [what is your definition of customer service]

Keep your blood calm, your mind clear, and your stomach full for you better be ready!

      Break a leg ;]

    • Wear slacks and a nice shirt with a collar. If you go in with blue jeans and a t-shirt you have almost no chance of getting hired. Smile, shake hands firmly, but not real tight. Be prepared to answer questions like What hours can you work, what do you think would be the hardest thing about working here, how would you handle a mean customer, things like that.

      Good luck.

    • just be yourself and confident. it will make all the difference and answer whatever you are asked to the point. don't exaggerate

    • Good luck!! Wear something casual but nice.. Casual dress pants and a nice shirt.
