i would finish everything i had to do in my job description and then i would make what was not in my job description no problem at all.

This is a tricky question, they want to know that you are a person who is willing to take extra responsibility but you dont do this by leaving your actual work behind

  • is it a union shop?

    if not. say "I would do it". It is always better to do it, then ask why later.

    However, if you are in a union and that task is not in your job description or is assigned to another department, you would hold off on doing it until you knew full well you are supposed to and that they can ask you to do it according to the contract in place.

  • I would do it if is in my area of expertise and will not take time from my initial responsibilities .
