Job Interview: Are You Sending Red Flags And Eliminating Yourself?

Recommended Answer:
These are questions you can answer yourself, but I'll give some generic advice.

My greatest weakness is my 10-Key. But then, say you're working on improving it. Like me, I have increased my speed from 6000 KPH to over 12500 KPH, since being laid off. There you go, a weakness was stated, but it shows that it's being worked on.

Always be honest about your employment history. If you're asked how to explain your year-long unemployment, explain that you quit. But then say why you quit immediately afterward because interviewers don't want to think for you, they will likely want to know, and then explain some things you've been doing since you quit, like improving your skills, or networking, or traveling Europe, or something.

Here you can lie a little bit, like saying you wanted to explore other opportunities because you felt it was a dead-end job and wanted to further your career, or that the corporate culture wasn't for you and that's why you applied to the company you're having an interview with.

How to Succeed at Your Job Interview

  • tell them that ur biggest weakness is that u need to ask ppl on yahoo answers what to say at an interview

  • this is actually a great question for you! It gives you another opportunity to spin it to make a strength. Such as "I am a perfectionist so i take great pride in my work It is sometimes hard for me to delegate these jobs to others. Of course interviewers have heard this one a thousand times. another way to handle this questions is to come up with a weakness that does not apply to the job you are a interviewing for. Something like "I am a poor speller and deoend on spell check a lot. Or I am not that great with math and depend on my calc a lot. something like this. I recommend spinning it to a strength but that will require a lot of creativity and careful planning or it can backfire on you.
