Job Interview Questions: How do I stand out at a job interview?

Morning, I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon for a Junior receptionist position at a 5 star London hotel. it's my first ever interview and I was wondering how I can stand out and be remembered. What should I wear? As I say this interviewing process is new to me and I don't want to be remembered for the wrong reasons.
Thanks Jules 21

Top 7 Ways to Prepare For a Successful Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Be very polite and courteous. Be firm and state what you is asked and why you want the job and make sure you speak with high competence. Don't make yourself seem stuck up or snobby or anything. Wear a nice suit that you would wear to work. Make sure if its a skirt to be the right leng (just above knee), or go with the safe alternative of pants. Wear a blazer and a nice shirt. Say thank you for the oppurtunity when you go in there and that it is a pleasure (say it when you think its the right time - either at the beginning or at the end, and when to say each thing and just be very gracious and grateful and polite, but dont make yourself seem to unsure and suck up ish)
im sure you will be fine, GOOD LUCK !

Ways to Hugely Boost Your Job Interview Success Rate

  • Dress professionally with a matching skirt and blazer and nice pair of black shoes that are not scuffed. Little make-up with small earrings and only a watch (minimum jewelery), and remember to turn off your cell phone.

Speak clearly in a tone that makes you feel confident of your ability and skills. Listen to the interviewer's question and respond. Posture is important, sit up straight, eye contact and a little smile because you do not want to look too serious. Documentation you should bring is your resume and letters of reference.

Once your interview is completed, shake hands and ask for his or her business card. Always send a thank you note as soon as you get home, a thank you card in which you can mail to them directly.

    Good luck to you.
