Job Interview Questions: What to wear at a job interview?

I have a job interview tomorrow with Orchard Supply Hardware. And I'm not sure what to wear. I like to be girly alot but I know how to kick it down a few notches, lol. But for this particular place, I'm not sure if I should show up in secretary attire (black slacks, no skirt, lol) unless thats too neat and clean. Or take it down a little and kind of play it casual but not jeans and t-shirt cas. Some one HELP please!

Do You Make Any of These Top 5 Job Interview Mistakes?

Recommended Answer:
The first impression you make on a potential employer is the most important one.
Women's Interview Attire
* Suit (navy, black or dark grey)
* The suit skirt should be long enough so you can sit down comfortably
* Coordinated blouse
* Conservative shoes
* Limited jewelry (no dangling earrings or arms full of bracelets)
* No jewelry is better than cheap jewelry
* Professional hairstyle
* Neutral pantyhose
* Light make-up and perfume
* Neatly manicured clean nails
* Portfolio or briefcase

Keys to a Successful Job Interview

  • Khakis and a decent blouse (but not something you're afraid of ruining) seem like a safe way to go. If you overdress, they may think you're too prissy or no smart enough to wear something sufficiently rugged, but if you under-dress, they may think you're a slob who doesn't care about her appearance or the company's image. Yeah..khakis seem safe. ;)

  • Whatever you do, please do not wear your birth day suite! LOL
