Job Interview Questions: POLL: If you got a job interview at a Catholic Hospital, but weren't Catholic, would you hide that fact?

I applied to a job at a Catholic hospital, and I hope I get an interview!!

But let's say you were both pro-choice and an atheist, and you did get the job.

Would you hide that fact from your colleagues?
Do you think you could effectively fib being Catholic to others?

Top 6 Tips For Giving a Great Job Interview and Getting a Job

they still have to follow eoe standards, so they can't not hire you just because you're not Catholic. But it may be in your best interest to keep your opposing views mum. If someone asks you can be honest, but don't announce it in a board meeting or anything. I wouldn't lie about being Catholic though. I think that would come back to haunt you. If someone asks you about church, I'd just be vague and say you're not really into organized religion or something. Good luck.

Job Interview Success

  • Speaking as an Atheist, yes. A job is a job, I think. Ofcourse you can lie about it. It wouldn't be too difficult. But, a Catholic Hospital should really not worry too much about whether you're Catholic or not. Which ever feels better to you, though.

  • Yes, for the money.

I suppose after a while, it would get hard to pretend, and if that were the case, I'd need to find another job.

  • when you are going for interview there shouldn't be any questions about if you are Catholic or not. It is how good you are at the job.

  • Yes because it's none of their damned business...

  • I wouldn't lie if it was brought up but I wouldn't bring it up.
