Job Interview Questions: Job interview tomorrow at a nursing home?

Tomorrow I have an interview for the position of housekeeper at a nursing home. I've only had interviews at a couple retail stores, and haven't been hired yet. Anyone know what kind of questions are normally asked for a job as a housekeeper?

Discriminatory Job Interview Questions to Avoid

  • Be sure to listen carefully. Answer truthfully.

When it is your turn to ask them questions, ask job specific questions that show you are interested in the duties, such as "how do you handle cleaning a room with a patient present?" "Should I clean the common areas and hallways as well?" "How frequently do you do a deep scrubdown that will require extra effort?"

Showing genuine interest in the tasks usually will get you the job. Do not ask about yourself or pay or vacations or anything else that would make it look like your self centered. Ask those questions after you get an offer.
