Job Interview Questions: Should I ask for the job after immediately after the job interview?

I was reading a few articals that stated the most common interview mistakes. A some of them said the most common mistake was failing to ask for the job. Is this true? should someone be bold enough to outright ask for the job after the interview?

You shouldn't because you don't know if you got the job, it's better if they call you days later letting you know you got the job.THe interview was just that to see if you fit the position so you can't say did i get the job because you don't know how you did on the job interview, unless they say after congrads you got the job.
