Job Interview - Top Tips When Preparing for a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
normally, i could write a short novel about what to do during an interview. like the entire play-by-play
well considering it is tomorrow it is better that i don't cram a lot of info here before the big day.

if you have had prior experience at PH then touch upon that. using the same lines like ur responsible, hard worker, etc are very cliche so try to talk about things you have done in the past that make you X, Y and Z

-be casual. nothing nicer than hiring someone that you can relate to and having a small convo is key so u sound like a human being.

-be polite n friendly. shake hands b4 and after, sit up straight, come prepared with questions 4 them, ask for business card (if needed), thank them for time, leave a resume, etc all that bs

some typical questions are: what can you do for us as a pizza hut shift manager? what are some challenges you have faced in the past and how did u get past them? Str n wknesses? why are u ready to move into this position?

i have held jobs ranging from being a 16yo cvs cashier to now marketing for ESPN radio in addition to a mixed bag of things like country club tennis pro, teaching english in china, american eagle hq merchandising internship, radio dj) out of all those interviews, there are always similarities in terms of what to expect.
what they are looking for is that ur a capable person. remember that them hiring u is a direct representation of themselves.

i helped prepare for interviews by going to my college's career service place where they would give u mock interviews and videotape u and review it later. maybe u can do that in the future, but what i learned from these tapes are that trying to make up reasons y ur this and that sounds and looks sooo fake. instead practice being fake!

i would say for smthing like pizza hut shift manager, u need to be friendly and be able to work with people as their leader and a peer. i think i covered enough....

3 Simple Steps for Axing Job Interview Anxiety

  • Expect to sell yourself. You need to clearly define why you would be good for the job and don't hesitate to brag. But not obnoxiously. LISTEN closely to the interviewers questions then answer them confidently, but don't say too much. Go in with enthusiasm! If you're not fired with enthusiasm, you will be fired with enthusiasm. Good luck!
